Manmohan singh can,t do much bcos people at that level will act according to expert commitee opinion and moreover it was the proposal by previous NDA regimen. One thing is phising is why clause 123 in nuclear civil right ~ we need explanation if it intrudes in Indias capability for future test we have to discard the clause . The nuclear power is a sort of energy ~ not a clean one, we don't know how & where to dispose waste without harm to humans.
This deal ristricts us to do the future nuclear tests, America has suceeded in what it actually wanted it. M.M.Singh you should feel shame for this negotiation.

One thing is for sure, bomb se tumhare ghar ki lights to jalengi nahin, and the chances that we cud actually need to use nukes is very rare so why not use it for civilian purpose.

Our prime minister claimed that India can 'conduct tests' where as the US clarified that India cannot conduct tests and the deal may be revoked once India does it. Now the ambiguity lies in what kind of test are both referring to. 'Simulated' nuclear test or a full scale test.
Why do we HAVE to sign a deal with the US to have Nuclear trade with other countries??? Countries like Russia who are already into this trade with us? Dont understand why is US so important?
if it is civil nuclear deal & if we are free to conduct the nuclear tests then why we have a clause in the 123 agreement with regard to consequences if india conducts nuclear tests. how can one argue that is a "civil" nuclear deal ?
PKL. The situation is that we cannot get past international hiccups relating very many fears that existing global alliances and strategies have in their perceptions of India's ambitions to emerge as an effective player. Our being generally non-proliferating disarmament oriented coexistence votary ,always, is considerably under- appreciated , because, so far we continue to be seen as WMD and Missile underdogs . People ,naturally, do not like anyone to leap forward ahead of ,themselves, to a more sanguinary role , as such the most effective antagonists would be our Asian neighbours Like China and her stooge pakis, and toothless Economic giant defanged of Worlld -Domination since Hiroshima.. Our Buddhist or Gandhian Legacy needs relentless advocacy , but we must also have both credible arsenal of ICBMS and capabilities for Second Strike with WMDS against all Poachers into our peaceful region.D.Goel
manmohan Singh is selling India for his personal image exactly in the same way Nehru did while he took Kashmir to International agency. People should wake up and throw this man out of power

Can you tell us how much you know about 123 Agreement? Don't talk like Communist leaders and think from Indian perspective.

It seems you have little knowledge about Indian Politics. It was during the NDA (read BJP) government; the deal was initiated. Unfortunately, it didn't conclude as NDA was thrown out of power. In the Parliament, PM said to the ex PM that "what you had initated... I have completed". Now the opposition leaders are crying over the spilt milk... had they been in power, they all would have done the same thing what PM has done today...which is right because that is the need of the hour for our Indian economy to meet our growing energy demands.

The deal is a good one. India will benefit a lot from the deal. For Indian econpmy to grow ,we need massive investments in nuclear power which is one of the best sources for clean power. The deal will push ourselves to the next level . The deal itself is good for as as china is against the deal.
