I do not go with the violent ways of the shiv sena... but sadly, in the current scenario, we need to counter violence and the soft skills of hindus does not help...
history stands as witness as to how the hindus were raped by the muslim violence/lust and the christian treachery/cunningness...

Mr seshadri,our main problem is we know history as it is taught to us and do not try to understand and analyse what would have exactly happened during that time frame. If Muslims & christians were committing atrocities then Hindus were not distributing sweets.Hindu rulers alo committed atrocities. The very good example is The Maratha army during the reign of Peshawas invaded Bengal and raped and killed many Bengali females. Its nowhere written in the histroy of Maraths but you wud find it in the history books of Bengal. A Marathi person writing history of Maraths wud always glorify them.The same way the case of Hindu history. Hindus have been portrayed as most tolerant,sacrifycing,godd natured people. However that is not the case.FYI,hindus butchered the Buddhists like anything and eliminated majority of the buddhists from India after their wars with them. This hiostory is never taught in Schools.
The latest example I wud like to mention regarding distorted history is of Sri Saibaba of Shirdi. He was not incarnation of GOD as is prohected by devotees. Saibaba was a freedom fighter aginst the british raj and he escaped from the British Jail and hided in Shirdi which was the princely state at that time. Few more distorted example of history are Shivaji escape sitting in the huge Sweet gift box to be prsented to the monks of Kashi & Mathura and another is Shivaji's leutnent Tanaji conqured one fort called 'Simhagad' with the help of a Lizard.This is moclker

There is history and there is heresay... and again.. there are Buddhists and there are Buddhists...hence i would not comment on your specific examples...You are tweaking it so that only one side of the coin is seen...
Also note that am not talking of war crimes; try to understand, it is the aftermath...
would you say the same of india... erstwhile the states were fighting one another; this has stopped by unifying geographical boundaries...
the chord which unites Indians is the cultural one and culture ties will bound only if they have a common base... and that was why even the muslims and christians were able to identify with united India...(It was this chord in those days that united the hindus inspite of their wars...)

We need to implement policies like China has, execute the Guilty first then reveal it in press. No doubt thackrey is offender and need to be punished. However no one would do that. Riots are result of mob frenzy, and its course is difficult to predict as all logic is lost and emotions and false rumours guide the events. But the bomb blasts and jihadi actions are different and more dangerous. The recent Taslima affair is a sign of what will happen to mild muslims, non-muslims, infidels and silent, tolerant hindus. Hindu population in pakistan and bangladesh is virtually wiped out. All secularists should seriously ponder what will happen in India if muslims seize control with the support of pseudo secularists.
