great article
by ssddssdd on Aug 06, 2007 11:02 PM  Permalink

Idiots like Arjun Singh (actually most Congress and Leftists) keep on harping about reservation to OBCs just like they keep on harping about secularism. Country and educating the people is their last priority. Most educated people I talk to fully support SC/ST quota as the downtrodden Hindu brethern need to be uplifted. But, OBC quota is all hogwash and doesn't make any sense. In most states OBCs actually include all castes except Brahmins and Baniyas. OBC quota doesn't even benefit OBCs because it limits seats for all OBCs. But all this is besides the point. When we talk of doing away with caste system, our sick politicians talk of caste based reservations. It is their policy to divide and rule Hindus. Parties like BJP should focus on uniting Hindus,, because this division is only superficial. When one Hindu suffers, all do. When thier are riots, all Hindus are hurt irrespective of castes. When Hinduism is maligned, it affects all castes. You may not like your family, it is still yours and it is your destiny. One more thing, I have friends from all castes, nobody cares who is what. We should not let our politicians drag us backwards.

good article but.........
by Pradip Parekh on Aug 06, 2007 10:27 PM  Permalink

the hindus must not play the "victim card". they must proudly defend their position and just as loudly call lefty (marxist-congress-socialist) bluff. there is no moral side to lefty position whichi is the old old class war preached by commies. it is plain stupid - and *immoral* - for a poor person to blame the rich for his misfortune. let the hindus confidently and unapologetically and fortherightly articulate their vision. it is hoever, unfortunate theat the hindus don't have a newspaper of their own. all media are dominated by commies. the hindus need a rupert murdock.

Why just partial reservations - why not blanket reservations for everyone - all one billion-plus? This way, no one can ever complain of being discriminated against, not even the millions of illegals brought over illegally by the crooked, corrupt Congress and their Commie allies to bulk-up their vote banks.
And with a blanket reservations, even the SC would be hard-pressed to find fault with reservations as a govt policy.

Though I am sure you meant it in jest, the more I think about it, the more enamoured am I of the possibility that you suggest. I dont know about the implementations et al, but, nevertheless, were it to come to fruition, it would be one hell of a solution. Just imagine, the Hindus (finally!), the Muslims, the Christians, the Sikhs, the Jains, the Zorastrians, the nature worshipper, the SC, the ST, the OBC, the tribal, the atheists (cant leave them out!!), all have reservation. WOW! What actually could work against it?? Any comments??
