An excellent article written by the reporter and in the most concise manner ever..And guess what! THe thinking is EXACTLY like mine and the basis of argument along with reasoning is the same that i have strongly believed in and thus have adopted. Therefore, i wont take very lon since i echo the views in the article.. Ditto!! Its VERY annoying to see people of our own country backing up this man. Ofcourse we dont deny dat he is not a terrorist but he wasnt a man so young who could have been carried away by any chance. He has been a part of foul play(knowingly or unknowingly) and hence should be punished. You supporters should be glad dat he is not sentenced for 10 years. And c,mon our people are such hypocrates. At first they crib that the law is not speedy(which in some cases it indeed is not") and then wen good things happen a whole new turn of events takes place. They downright deny to comply with the law of the land. Its so disheartening to see websites and communities being created to vote in favour of Sanjay. I get so overwhelmed thinking abt the perspectives of our countrymen dat i fall short of words. Wanna say so much but it gets difficult. Really as mentioned by the writer..how many times have we heard TV channels taking interviews of families of the victims. Im wrapping up and would jus end up by saying 'My Father...Let My Country AWAKE!!!!'
Certainly the judgment on all the convicts by Kode has restored faith in the judiciary.. 93 bomb blasts had shackled the country and even remote association with the act had to be dealt harshly... Sanjay .. has been no exception... Sanjay will be more at peace later in life to realise he did'nt get preferential treatment and has paid for his mistakes... He has evolved in great manner in the last 14 years...He can be called a FOOL, a man who only follows the heart... but ppl please avoid the term Criminal ... not only for him.. but all those who have been caught in the circumstances.. like the guy who did not know wat was thre in the bag and is serving 10 years....Sanju.. has learnt everything in life the hard way... he did drugs... only then he realised he needs to combat....he had lavish living.. only to realise he needs to do sumthing for others... he had passion for dangerous equipments.. and has learnt in the last 14 years..wat not to...do ..Kudos to Both Kode and Sanjay
Why do you so passionately side with the judgement which has been pronounced for Sanjay Dutt? He is already reaping what he has sown and does'nt look like he will get any benefits for his celebrity status. In fact the very arclights of the media will prevent it, given the nature of justice our country has allowed it to be reduced to....so why the passion? Does saffron blind you like green blinds the sympathisers of the serial blast perpetrators, meted out with death penalties? Your write-up would be taken more seriously if in your projected righteousness you had merely but squeaked about, say a Mr Madhukar Sarpotdar reported in the newspapers allegedly caught during curfew by the army in a jeep with reportedly unlicensed guns, hockey sticks, choppers, but not giving Sanjay Dutt company due to his political clout then and now. Does it not sicken you or trigger your conscience to question the system that has allowed it? Would'nt that be a more burning issue to spend your energies on? This type of irresponsible reporting, projecting half the picture intentionally or otherwise is destroying the social fabric of this country and allowing jungle law to flourish.
Well said Mr Shenoy. Try writing the same for all those politicians and their chmchas who feel pride in showing off their prized posessions, especially during and after the election wins. These people scare the shit out of you and explains very well the reaon you are scared to mention any one of those anywhere. If posession of a gun, illegally, is a crime, entire UP and Bihar should be sentenced. TRY WRITING ABOUT IT Mr SHENOY....LETS SEE UR TRUTHFULNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!
I TOTALLY AGREE with Mr Shenoy. If Paris Hilton has to spend a month in jail just for a drive under alcohol offence and have her license suspended for a year, It shows the power of Judiciary in the US that keeps the faith of people on it.
Comming to Mr Sanjay Dutt..What was he doing with 2 AK 56? and Granedes that to some 46 of them??? Do you need those as something that you buy off hand just like that as a Vada pav or a Bhutta??? Do common people of hand talk and pay visits to Chota Shakeel? To Dawood ? To Anees Ibrahim? to Abu Salem?
Do the most feared gangsters like Abu Salem visit our houses regularly to delever arms or to pick them up???
If you have sucha well elaborate credentials? Why in the first place should you expect that you be pardoned?
If the same list of offenses that Sanjay Dutt has commited was commited by a common man he by this time would have been bumped either rival gangs or would have been "encountered" by the Mumbai Police.
If we do not have respect for the Law of land and pardon each and every persons just because they behave well now so do you pardon them for the crimes commited by them 14 years ago?
What abt the 500 killed people and the 3000 permanantly disabled surviors of the 1993 Mumbai Blasts who have lived every day in misery and who waited 14 years for justice???
Can doing good deeds now bring back the lives taken 14 years ago?? Should you pardon them now?? Atleast I disagree on that.

Sanjay Dutt's judgement and sentence by the learned Judge (any you) really highlights the fact that while this judgement is based on law where has the law gone when there is the issue of those indicted by the Sri Krishna commission and the Babri Masjid demolition case. Why are those who were found in the thick of the rioting and heavy handed policing still walking around like decent citizens which they are not?
I also do not know from where you got those cooked up figures on the casualties. While life is precious and my heart goes out to those who suffered in the blast was Sanjay the bomb maker or planner or leader of the group that planted the bombs??
Justice has not prevailed here - it appears to be very one sided and incomplete and a lot needs to be done for Justice to really prevail.
Its kind of funny when u compare our country with other. In India anything can be done. Well Mr. Dutt on the 1st hand does not need an AK 56 assault rifle to defend his family. If Dutt needs that to protect his family then i may buy an Arjun tank or a Sukaoi Aircraft to protect my family. Then y the hell do we have a Department called Police setup(I knw u may say it is courrpt). Well comming to the point. If this was the same incident with a common man would all Dutt's sympathisers feel the same. And a message for Dutt "Grandpa u messed up so now reap the fruits of the mess and dont keep cribbing like Paris Hilton in jail". Shut the F up and sit in jail for the next 6 yrs. You really deserve it :)

Well said boss. The moron needs it. The bollywood better shut up their stupid mouth and talk sense instead of cribbing. Well anyway all these a** holes are connected to the gang, what else can we expect from them.

Gosh.. Y do u guys have so much in hatred in ur lives....Judiciary is supreme and has given a good verdict for the 93' blasts... It has been even to Sanjay Dutt as with the others... Sanju has accepted the decisions with all due respects... He only pleaded for blessings and strength to overcome... he agrees he made a mistake and is ready to pay for it.....Give him a break... remember .. when in life u cant utter a GOOD word... it is better to be MUM.....God Bless All...
This episode about a Hindi movie actor's liason with the law and the mountainous quantum of hype generated about it by nitwits among the media and the common populace point more than anything else, to the hopeless lack of perspective, proportion or anything that relates to humankind's powers of logic or reason. Unfortunately, incapacity for reason or logic has always been a part of life for the average Indian cinegoer. This creature has a skull so thick (much like their hero as alluded to by Mr. Shenoy) that it is no surprise that an industry that runs solely on hype, copycat ideas (copied faithfully to the last detail from other film industries, notably from Hollywood), inane plots and much else is frequently portrayed in sections of the media as something that is so original, profound and worthy of admiration. The complete absence of true recognition for the Hindi film industry (as also for the Tamil, Telugu and several others) from quarters that really matter (like for example, the Berlin or the Cannes film festivals whose awards constitute virtually the hallmarks of good cinema) only makes this truth more vivid.
But the average Hindi or Tamil cinegoer cannot be expected to have the time or patience (or even the knowledge about) for good cinema or know about true recognition for cinema, can he ??
