Fake righteousness Mr. T V R Shenoy?
by Mak C on Aug 11, 2007 06:36 PM

Why do you so passionately side with the judgement which has been pronounced for Sanjay Dutt? He is already reaping what he has sown and does'nt look like he will get any benefits for his celebrity status. In fact the very arclights of the media will prevent it, given the nature of justice our country has allowed it to be reduced to....so why the passion? Does saffron blind you like green blinds the sympathisers of the serial blast perpetrators, meted out with death penalties? Your write-up would be taken more seriously if in your projected righteousness you had merely but squeaked about, say a Mr Madhukar Sarpotdar reported in the newspapers allegedly caught during curfew by the army in a jeep with reportedly unlicensed guns, hockey sticks, choppers, but not giving Sanjay Dutt company due to his political clout then and now. Does it not sicken you or trigger your conscience to question the system that has allowed it? Would'nt that be a more burning issue to spend your energies on? This type of irresponsible reporting, projecting half the picture intentionally or otherwise is destroying the social fabric of this country and allowing jungle law to flourish.
