Madani
by Suresh Menon on Aug 01, 2007 02:45 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I have no hatred towards Madani, his friends, his family or his community. I love and respect them as fellow human beings. But in the light of these developments, an element of fear has crept into my mind - and that is for the safety of my near and dear ones and myself.

To keep a community pleased and garner votes, the government is compromising the security of its citizens. They should show the spine to call a spade a spade. That Madani has fanned communal flames through his speeches is no secret to Keralites. Still we have legal loopholes, and politicians' ample support and he is now scot free to plan and implement further communal problems.

Does the government headed by a puppet of a PM think that the loss of life to a few thousands (and means of livelihood to their dependents) is not reason enough to lose sleep? Where is the affirmative action or at least tough words against extremism? As about Kerala politicians the less said the better. They don't give a damn to people's life or health. Just look at the epidemics spiralling out of control and the daily dose of gruesome accident deaths on the roads. Welcome to Gods own country.

All in all, any hope that my place will rise above all these is but a glimmer raring to fade out.

Dear Suresh,
I completely agree with your point. One who ignites communal passions should be put behind bars or hanged. Could you please answer my questions...
When Advani makes a speech on Rath Yaatras igniting communal passions of the people, why do you people keep quiet?
When bad mouth Thakre makes open speech on communal basis, why do you keep quiet?
When Thogadia tours around country to make speech, why do you keep quiet?

Why this partiality? Go to the root cause man.
This does not mean that I appreciate terrorist activities. NO. NOT AT ALL. Being a responsible citizen of this country, we should condemn wrong doings. Whoever may commit it. And he has to be punished irrespective of his gender/caste/creed/religion.

People who make such statements should go behind bars. The problem is Advani et al. Dont make "communal" statements. Not saying that about Togadia though.

It is often that a lot is misrepresented by political opponents.

For example if Advani asks for UCC; immediately somebody will say it is communal when it is nothing of the sort.

Mr Panicker,
I am not telling that all indian muslims are clean and good. Every religion has some black sheep. Don's tell that there are no fanatics in Hindu religion.
Look at last decade. All this started after 1992 Babri Masjid demolition. Which caused a series of riots all over the country. Now tell me do u blame a particular community?

The demolition of the masjid is not correct. Goverment could have stopped that. Its their inaction.
I agree there are some with fanatic mindset amoungst hindus.(though of lower capability to cause destruction compared to muslim fanatics). they are a reaction to the situation created by people like mahdani...and we have to tackle the root cause first. They will be there as long as people like mahdani are there.

Blame the inefficiency of the goverment who does not have the guts/simply will to act against these fanatics.

Let me tell you, even before babri masjid demolition, there used to be a lot of communal speeches against hindus by muslim fanatics in tamilnadu. No action was taken on them.

Togadia or Advani never made speaches igniting communal passions. They were simply responding some injustice meted out to the majority of this country. Your laguage smacks of a secularist.

Dear Friend,
Thackerey & Thogadia & Advani, all have come up only because of the goverment lack of will to reply/act/control the fanatic muslims unlawful action/speech/conduct against other community...

In a way, they are creation of the goverment's total inaction. And, once they are there, they will try to reply in their own language, and still the goverment does not know how to act. And, so if you go to root cause of these thing, the answer is failure of the goverment to control mahdani's...

Basic flaws:

Haneef's judgment did not come from a Australian court. It came from govt. dropping the case till more investigation were done.

In case of Madhani the aquital is based on lack of proof provided to the court even when tons exist in public domain. This is the govt. prosecutions role which deliberately let Madhani go

No akshay the problem is that all muslims eighter they are involved in any crime or not they should be punished thats what these people wanted, no logical thinking, these people think that the honorable judge he may be a hindu is not right to pass any judgement in favor of accused as they are muslims, these people would have wanted the judgement against the accused, if this people have involved in the said activity who is stopping the police and other agencies to gather the information so that these people be put behind the bars, it means there is no evidence on this people and they have wrongly jailed them for so many years instead of hanging our heads in shame this people are bringing politics and relegion. people like this are responsible for hatred in our country.may i ask this people who are accusing muslims what is their contribution to india, did they stop any injustice to innocent did they repory any corupt charges again any official, sitting in home & offices and writing blogs is very easy for me and you, but imagine those people who are discriminated from hate which you people are spreading
