Indian outlook is totally defensive. There is no aggressive intent, no planning to take 20 wickets. The selectors are more afraid of losing...so they don't even make any attempt to win. So, never mind the bowlers, Dhoni. Don't pretend that you feel for them. If you really cared about their workload, you would have picked 5 bowlers. Instead you prefer to protect your (already pampered) batsmen.
I wouldn't at all be surprised to see more bowlers go the Flintoff/Murali route: forget tests and make easy money by playing IPL. There also, the bowlers are cannon-fodder, but the torture lasts for much less time, and there is oodles of money on offer.

People try to save their religion by justifying violence. They will surely fail. No religion teaches violence. God knows the truth. And what is there in one's mind. conscience is the best judge.

Other how do you explain that one community is given free airfare for Hajj the the Crores of Hindus Visiting SABARIMALA are treated like ANIMALS,without ,any provision for Sanitation,Water,or even the Famous "ARAVANA PRASAD" of the temple.Due to the SHEER APATHY of the Communist Government(Comprising Mostly foolish Hindus).

One can't fight terrorism without treating them as enemy combatants. This is how terrorism and Naxalism were contained. And that is why terrorists and underworld dread Gujarat. In last 5 years, no terorrism has hit Gujarat and 5 crore Gujaratis are able to live in peace. NO-NONSENCE encounters are needed to creating chilling effect on terrorists and their network - that they and their families will not get way using civiliation protections. They have to be given taste of their own medicine. It does not mean state has to go indiscriminately on killing spree - but few encounters can get the message out to the terrorists. Unfortunately, political parties with eye on votebank are politicising anti-terrorism and tying down ability of law-enforcement agencies to engage in pro-active measures. Having stripped POTA, terrorism is demoted as law-order issue and now such activism is trying the hands of law-order agencies. Those who get caught bogg down judiciary and get out on bail as heroes and celebrities. The pro-terrorist politics has people live in atmosphere of fear at mercy of terrorists - it should be other way around.
Given the state of affairs today as exemplified by Mr. Vanjara's story one wonders how many other people in India are in the same situation as the three persons slain by the Police as per the current report. Harking back to the hundreds of reported fake encounters in Punjab in the 80's also engineered by the Police, and the dozens of recent incidents in J & K also with the collusion of the Police how many such incidents must have happened nation wide? The BJP is already using the fig leaf that Governments of other States must first clean their own house before pointing fingers at the Gujarat Government. Can the Judiciary not take a pro active role and find out how many persons there are that have been detained by the Police unnecessarily? It seems that instead of draconian anti terrorism measures what we really need are draconian measures to reform the Police. Terrorism and popular disaffection would then abate on their own for want of a cause to fight for.

You're right. Same is for Assam, so many enconters are fake, so many innocent persons and some ultras killed in cold blood in the name of encounter.

After the mumbai train bom blasts I saw muslims rejoicing the way they do when pakistan wins a cricket match against India. As it is it was not enough many muslim youths were teasing the scared women hurrying home. When hundreds of hindus are butchered in bomblasts you rejoice and when in a stray incident a muslim is killed you speak of humanity. Well you may be successful in bringing the whole world under islam, but what next. You will be killing your own brothers and raping your mothers as is seen in pakistan, afganistan and iraq.

Donno about if any father & mother killed in same way but I guess then most of us dont have parents with 40-50 cases registered in 4 different states? Most of us dont have parents possessing not 1 or 2 but more than 40 AK-47 (in a country where even possession of 1 AK47 is heinous crime). No can some 'humanitarian' person explain me that why someone possesses 40 AK-47 rifles at home? Is it for having a unique collection or for going for duck shoots on weekends? Here I m not replying to arguements above as I feel they are quite wise but maybe some questions where someone wise like to reply.
