because of few caste rigid people we all are suffering
by shivange on Jun 19, 2008 08:34 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

before doing reservation f0r dalits n all goverment should see wether they(dalits) are getting the primary education or not..........

again if the indian goverment is going to increase the reservation for the dalits like this then one day would come when the general students would be counted as dalits..........

This reservation system should be abolished....i think everyone is equal no dalit no brahim no christian no muslim........caste shouldn't be a big issue.

We respect every caste n every culture...i hope all educated n good people believe in equality and unity..........so don't create a wall by saying OH! YOU ARE A BRAHMIN or OH! YOU BELONG TO DALITS....

RESERVATION SHOULDN'T BE THERE AT ALL

no one chooses his or her caste........its all destiny

RESERVATION MUST BE THER FOR PEOPLE BELONGING TO LOWER INCOME GROUP

what i understand is that reservation should be based on financial capacity and not on the basis of cast. if some one is not able to give his or her child better training due to his or her poverty, the entire society should help him or her. but the fact of today is tha, the children of those who have got government jobs are given reservation. for an example mr a falls into reservation quota and he receives govt. job. now his son b also falls in reservation category. this is stupidity. because mr a must be able to give him facilities to study because he is financially sound. hence he must not be given reservation by the government.

regarding reservation
by dasari lrao on Jun 01, 2008 01:58 PM  Permalink

Dear sirs,
As per Aman we have to see from villages why Dalits are still harrased and they were in the poverty show me in the most of villages until now they don't have even proper homes and 1 acre land.......thier houses very far from high caste why???why??? why don't you look at that as a agra kula's i mean high caste they were having hundred acres minimum 10 acres why don't you ask for this that every body must have 2 acre land even high caste or Schedule cast or OBC. your problem is only reservation but why don't you look over all problems so now my suggestion is we need to fight for poverty to remove from our country that means everybody must have only two acres of land then we can settle our problems can you pls thik this way.

Yes absolutely, it's not your fault to be born a brahmin! but surely this is in your hands to renounce caste system created by your forefathers & linked crimnaly with the Hindu religion. As you know very well by birth a Dalit is lowest in social hierarachy and a brahmin highest !!! can you tell me why this illogical caste system still practised and kicking in the 21st century ? I think you must plunge in action to reverse the disorder created in society by your forefathers

60 years have passed & this way 100 years will also go. Nothing happened till now & I m sure after 100 years u will die , I will die but castism will remain up & kicking. So my dear how u infer that reservation policy will bring a change.
This policy encourages castism , politicians like u keep the flame burning for their votes, while policy shud try to vanish castism.
In my opinion reservations must be given to persons who marry intercaste or to handicapped or eunuchs. This will eredicate casts totally & then reservations will not be required at all.

It means you ( higher castes) have resolved that the crime committed by your forefathers centuries ago will not be rectified, you will not allow casteism to go from the society . On the other hand you keep on amassing wealth & educations and preach & give sermons to others to remain in impoverised conditions because this is thier destiny & fate ... How many more century you need the poor's blood to quench your thirst...

Ultimately the fittest will survive
by Vadiraj Purohit on Sep 26, 2007 09:25 PM  Permalink

Reservation is only possible for education.
Reservation is not possible for jobs.
People who get reserved seats doesnt mean they will be settled well in their career.
Ultimately the fittest will survive.

Reservation should be banned.

Even if it is not banned doesnt mean people who got reservation need to be happy. There is high competetion for jobs in the market for skilled professionals.

Career is dependent on skill not caste.

think before say and do..

I am a Brahmin and I must accept the fact that as long as there is a caste system, there is a need for one time reservation.... If not ask an upper caste boy/girl to marry with a dalit girl/boy.....ask their parrents too...u wuld get the core to reality...i have got married in other caste and my father-in-law claims that he married his doughter to me, since I was in upper caste..... Guys, easier said than done....very few people get up to a challenge...but even if u cant end castism...u should be realistic about reservation...too much is bad...one time reservation is ok as long as there is castism.

Dear Ashish , understand the basic concept of giving reservation.Reservation was not given to make poorer rich . It's the reservation against the very old reservation created by Chaturya varna system .It's very much prevailing till date.Once chaturya varna system is erdicated from heart and soul of people this very minute reservation for which you are protesting will automatically go . The caste system created by Chaturya varna system is the biggest hidded evil reservation system on the earth .So please dedicate your life to eradicate this deadly Chaturya varna system .You will be the happiest person in the world if you acieve this .

According to the old system, a brahmin was not allowed to carry on the profession of other castes unless it is out of sheer necessity or poverty or self defence etc. He was only supposed to be a philosopher, interpreter of laws, teacher, priest etc. This means in effect, there was 100% reservation for others. I wonder why the present day Manus cannot bring a system where even 27% reservation is messed up. Each man to his talent is the maxim. Otherwise I wonder why Mayavati doesn't appoint any Dalit as her Party's president instead of herself.

Today more than 50% of the officers in the armed forces are brahmins. Depriving the brahmin of his original occupation will only adversely affect the lower castes. This is because he will occupy the next level viz that of the Kshatriyas, who will then push out the vaishyas and so on till the lowest castes will have nothing to do but become beggars and anti-social elements.

It is nice to talk about equality and all that. Maybe we are all born equal but we are not destined to live equally. .

Make Brahmins realize
by on Sep 26, 2007 05:34 PM  Permalink

in the old days they have poured backward peoples with stringent laws. at that they were superior caring for nothing. But now we have right to do everything infront of everybody to make our society equal. So you Brahmin's better accept the fact that social justice is only going on for old criminal offenses you did in past.

Be a brahmin
by Niraj Londhe on Sep 25, 2007 09:04 PM  Permalink

I am Dalit.

My very good and close brahmin friend believes and tells me "you should learn from us how to live".

I came 1st in school in 10th std(22nd in State), 21st in state in 12th, was amongst 1st to be picked by a MNC IT company in my Engg college, and never resorted to reservations in my career.

However, I continue to support reservations because I know most brahmins think like my friend. Unless that thinking changes, I will continue to support reservations.

I hope you see the point.

-Niraj L
