Whether Ram Sethu is a man made structure or some sand dunes created by avalanche of sea water ? Perhaps no one can give a specific answer to this question and all answers are based on some hypothesis or 'hypothetical material evidence'! But presently no one is asking this question - The question here is whether these Ministers would have dared to talk against the beliefs of the people of so called 'Minoroty Communities', if those sand dunes were related to their faith? We are certain that the answer for this question is a 'BIG NO'! It is also said that only small and medium sized vessels can pass through the proposed canal and it is of no use for big vessels. In such a case, is it economically viable to spend Rs 2500 crores on this project ? What will the be the impact on security of our porous borders in the said area? Once canal is declared open, it will be treated as international waters and do we have the defense preparedness to face any eventualities in that area ? If not, why there is such haste to carry on with the project ? In my native language there is proverbial say - " One who steals an areca nut will certainly be punished as a 'thief' but one who can steal an elephant will always be honored as a 'king'"- Those who are trying to steal an elephant are trying to reform the thieves who are capable of stealing nothing but areca.

Mr. Ravikantha kamath, Security is a valid point. i appreciate your opinion. We have to make the security arrangements in tact and not to abandon the project.
it seems that no one should build a house because thieve may come. if that is your arguement it is not correct.

Justice VR Krishna Iyer has voiced this concern and said the dredging of Rama Sethu is Anti Indian. The reason for this is very obvious. Once there is a line there for ships to pass , the imperial powers will have easy access to monitor India , China and other countries. This will forment more problems on the already existing problems. Another problem will be once you dredge the area , Kerala will be vulnerable to sea erosion. With Tsunamis hitting in 2004 , and the sea temperature on the rise due to global warming ( This is confirmed science , for the Mr & Mrs environmnetal hoodlums of TN) , there is every possiblity that Kerala will face the brunt of sea erosion and possibly tsunamis. Karunalessnidhi is a like the Pied Piper of Chennai with Baalu et al , the blind mice. I have witnessed , some TN leaders cutting trees in TN to create road blockage as protest. This was environmental goondaism. You have a double trouble , one environmental and the other trouble to sovereignity as Justice VR Krishna Iyer has mentioned. In the early 50-60's Dudley Sennanakaye had put down a proposal by the US to have a base at Trincomalee and it was shifted to Philipines . Another one is at Okinawa, Japan. Baalu et all will say now that they will not allow this to happen in the present project. You cannot believe these politicians. In the nuclear issue , they sold the soul to US and now by doing this project , they will provide meat for the hungry imperialists. Begone , Begone , you non-security rulers. Let the curse of the Bishnois ( who hugged trees , when a king wanted to cut the trees, they were forerunners to the present day environmental movements) befall on these environmental shenannigans and looters. I pray fervently to all Gods to do this
Erase all possible symbols of Hinduness. They simply wont allow any scientific discussion, excavation and analysis of any structures related to Hindu epics. Be it Dwarika, or be it Ram-Janmabhoomi or Lord Krishna's birthplace in Mathura or this bridge. Israel is preserving almost all the structures believed to be related to Jesus, just on the basis of they are mentioned in bible. But our own countrymen are hellbent to deny all Hindu epics as calling them mere myths. I am pretty sure that this pseudo secular govt will erase that setu but that is nothing new, Hindus have suffered such atrocities since thousands of years, that wont erase Hinduism.

Israelis preserving structures believed to be related to Jesus? Hahaha. Man One of the most important Jewish principles of faith is the belief in one God and one God only with no partnership of any kind and belief in Jesus as deity, son of God, or Christ, is incompatible with Judaism. For this reason, related issues such as the historical existence of Jesus and whatever his life involved, are likewise not considered relevant in Judaism. With smart people like you around we dont need any enemies to destroy our culture

I might sound stupid but I would like to know whehter Baalu can give an alternative scientific evidence behind the formation of this bridge -
If there is a convincing one, then nobody would object to the bridge's destruction .. but if people fail to explain the process in Geological terms then one should wait until the truth is establsihed!
