What about others
by Ravi on Apr 14, 2007 10:39 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Hi!!!

I have seen so many guys insulting this country by comparing with US / EU. Cricket fans throw the national flags and National Anthem is not even sung in any private functions to the best of my knowledge

Unfortunately politicians wants to exploit the sentiments of the people so that they can divert the attention of the public.

Atleast Murthy has created millionaires in this country. Of course he is not Mahathma but everybody cannot be Mahathma. He is better than most of the politicians

So guys beware !!! Don't critisize a good person for one mistake.

We do lot of mistakes every day right!!!

Regards
Ravi

Patriotism? For Indian Politicians?
by andre joseph on Apr 14, 2007 10:06 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

God! What an irony. Of all the people in our country, our Politicians are up in arms against Murthy for this silly issue. These crooks who bleed our country white should feel ashamed to even think of saying something against Mr. Murthy. What have these crooks done for us citizens? At least Narayana Murthy directly and indirectly has ensured that there is bread at the table for at least a few lakhs of people. What have these crooks who call themselves politicians done for us? Swallow every penny that we pay as taxes? What moral standing do they have to question Mr. Murthy's patriotism? All of them should be lined up and shot. If only our country could be run the way Mr. Murthy runs his company, India would overtake the US in no time. It would do well for our rascal politicians to shut their mouth and do what they are best at doing --- stealing form the common man's plate. A pig would feel ashamed of our politicians to put it mildly.

Idiots
by on Apr 14, 2007 09:31 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I dont know what went wrong. Media is integral part of community. It should project the truth. The truth is, Murthy is still an idol for most of indians. He has created a chapter in a history. We are today globally recognised & respected. Murthy is one amoung them who given us that recognization. He has created jobs to more then 50000 indians. This is what he has done wrong?

Hello Mr Srinivas,
So, Its not that somebody did mistake so, Mr Murthy also have right to say what ever he want.

U may claim that, Mr. Murthy done this..that..to socity. But, nobody have right to say something about national anthem.

Ok, Mr. Murthy never changed his name just becoz its hard for foreigners to call him. Did he.

First point is
Just becoz you are getting business from somebody you can not lose your identity. if somebody does, then they are characterless.

Second thing,
Who said that it will embarrass foreigners. They dont mind to get trained in inida but they mind to be a part of group of ppl singing national song. Well, if they dont want to sing it, who is forcing them.

Socially discouraging a statement is different thing and using such a celebrity for political gains is different thing. I think this is not such a big polictically discussionable topic. He is a sensible person and has given so much to the country not just business.

Patriotism
by sonam on Apr 14, 2007 08:41 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Narayan Murthy is most patriotic. He has provided millions of Indians jobs and his company Infosys is an exemplarary company; a leader among international companies. He has helped put India on the map.
He is a humble man, who has helped young intellegent Indians make their mark. You should be ashamed of yourselves for calling him unpatriotic. He has done much for the nation. He has spoken in action and not merely words. Leave the man alone!!!

Grow up....Business is not charity, Business is not patriotism. He is not a humble man. He shoots his mouth too often, like all of us. He is just like us. Same laws, success does not make one patriotic.
Please, grow out of the middle ages. You are back to the Zamindari times. MaiBaap, ek roti de de, Huzoor ek naukari de di tumne. Tum hamare rakhwale ho. Tum Bhagwaan ho. Tumne mujhe roti, kapda aur makaan diya. Now its another matter that ur employees work and achieve success for you. yet you are the employer and therefore you get all the credit!! By the way the so called National anthem of India was sung for the first time in 1911, in the praise of King George V, in Calcutta, in which Rabindra Nath Tagore had praised His Majesty King George V dy describing him that (O George V) Bharat's Bhageya and Vidhata, your vast empire extends from Punjab to Sindh to Gujrat to Maratha etc.
It is an historical fact that is never told in history books of India, that the Great Rabndranath Tagore was soon rewarded with the Nobel prize soon after this because of his such great appreciations. May beMr Murthy knows about this historical fact and is hence giving his view

Hello Amandeep Singh,
As a matter of fact, You should understand the meaning of properly. Few days back i got email about the national anthem telling about the meaning. But, its kind of misleading.

Mail misleading point is, It praises the king (Adinayaka) of the country. In 1911 it happened to be the George V or somebody. Becoz, At that time king (Adinayaka) happens to be king of Britan, Since we are ruled by them.

Not, King (Adinayaka ) of our country is President.

Dont u think, with a word "Adinayaka", somebody is trying to mislead the ppl about the national anthem.

Grow up man, Just after reading a junk mail, how can you believe.

How such an intellectual person can make irresponsible and senseless suggestion. Moreover he poured water on the hype created by Dr. Kalam by prosing his name for presidency. After this controversy he himself prove an ineligible for any position to represent India or Indians. No person is above the dignity of the nation.

Narayana Murthy and National Anthem
by Amandeep Singh on Apr 14, 2007 08:22 AM  Permalink

The Politicians who have nothing to offer to the nation have only such issues that they can say are proving their petriotism. Except for filling their pockets by the enmassing public money has any politician ever done any good for the people. Mr Murthy has been actully instrumental in eradicating poverty to a great extent in the Country. This is the practical Patriotism and not just bookish patritiosm which is only good to hear about. In actual practise the people who are now taking about the national honour are the ones who have most disgraceful livings for the nation.

In my belief the Indian politicians have the only virtue of blaming others, while thy have stinking living and immoral deeds of the highest order. The only way they can befool the public is by shouting about Nation and NATIONAL SYMBOLS, while their real activities are most ANTI NATIONAL.
