Looks like our PM and his cronies have learnt a lesson or two from their friend Musharaf and are now trying make our judiciary "non-functional". Without an independent judiciary, India would be worse than Pakistan. God knows, Indira Gandhi tried to make the judiciary "non-functional".
The PM ought to know this, it is not the judiciary overstepping their boundaries that the people are worried about, it is the politicians who are constantly overstepping all boundaries. Mr.Singh, never mind what the judiciary is upto, instead try controlling the inflation. If the judiciary does not agree with your divisive politics, it does not mean they are overstepping thier limits. You goddamn politicans are out of order.

These politicians place themselves ablove the law.In order to serve their self interest, they are started questioning the law. This is what Mrs Sheila Kumar( Social justice minister) has to say "Private sectors, you better implement reservations or face the consequences"...what does she think of herself. This itself shows these politicians attitude.
If it were not for the judiciary's control, the country would have been in doldrums. Mr. PM you should realize that without even having to fight the election yourself, you are making so many compramizes and you cannot control Lallus, leftists and Singhs. Thank God we have an efficient judiciary that keeps tab on all the populist schemes. Instead of asking it to shut up, expand its scope and separate it out of politicians control.
Stop playing Anatonia Maino's fiddle and be a man for a change. Judiciary has no limits, or else, why should it be a judiciary in the first place you Dum**. Judiciary and justice has no limits and must step in wherever justice seems to be violated.
I had a great respect for you when you were RBI governor..And now i don't find any diferance between you and Laloo..At least Laloo is known for what he does ..Please respect the judiciary and stop supporting the reservations..If you want to support it 1. Can you reserve PM for OBC?? 2. CAn you reserve party president to SC's and sonia to step down ?? 3. CAn you reserve all CM's for ST??? Why do you want to play with poor students lifes ???
Please don't do any thing ..You will not take india forward ..at least don't pull it back words..

Well Said ....These politician buggers think that they can reserve any thing...Any thing for votes ..Ask this guy to reserve his seat first ...
Indian consititution has vested powers to judiciary to act as a check to power hungry politicians. The legislature should conduct themselves in fair, dignified and honest manner without bias towards religion, caste or creed. They still cannot decide on how to stop criminals and corrupt people into the parliament. Judiciary is the last hope for the comman man today as democracy has already been hijacked by all the political parties.
Will you support anyone or anything just for the sake of reservations ?
Tell me honestly, have you really been opressed that you need the reservation bhik ? Maybe your great grandfather was. If your father killed someone, will you be put on trial instead ?
Even if you get reserved seat, how will you compete internationally once you become an engineer or MBA ? If you go to USA/Europe, will you be competant ?
If your answer is no, it means that reservation is of no use. It has not enabled you to excell. Infact you will be always treated as backward.
If your answer is yes, then you dont need reservations since your are competant to earn your seat on merit. It means your grandfather's opression by the so-called upper caste has not affected your upbringing.
The point is whether your answer is yes or no, you dont need reservation to succeed. If you are educated, you should encourage other OBCs and guide them. Maybe provide financial support for them so they can compete against anyone. Please dont make bhikari out of someone who is capable of competing on merit. Remember whenever you give bhik to a bhikari, you are doing him a dis-service. You are ensuring that he will always be a beggar. This would be the biggest sin you will do. Give him education and guidance instead.
I honestly do not believe in any caste system and everyone is born equal. Everyone should get equal opportunity to live a respectable life. Those who suppress others based on caste should be punished by law. Those who misuse reservation should be punished aswell.

Hello Milind Sawant, You may not believe in caste sytem; but thats the ground truth in India. So called Hindu religion caste system is given the right for the brahmins to rule OBC & SC/ST generations of centuries. You accept the ground truth 1st; then we can discuss.

Don't beat the "Brahmins exploit" shit drum for ever, dude. The so called OBCs, like Vokkaligas, Kammas and even the Yadavs, have done horrendous things to the SC/ST in the past. All that has been conveniently put under the rug and the only villains in the piece now are "Brahmins" Shame on you. How long will you repeat the crap? Very soon India will be cleansed of Brahmins, whom will you blame then?

Isn%u2019t it discrimination if people are given reservation at such astounding proportions like in Tamil Naidu. Admission to elite institutions should be purely merit based, a person using his/her caste credential can still get into basic education which certainly can get them job opportunities and if they have what it takes to get into elite institutions they can try. Sadly reservation is not for lower caste people, its like religion which is misused by overtly corrupt politician who come up with gimmicks one superseding another only to get few votes.

Ramachandran or whoever you are: India was ruled by british for 500 years, before that it was ruled by Mughals for 700 years. I do not recall Brahmins ruling India ever. Get your facts straight and do not become a victim of the congress/communist controlled media. Get some history lessons.

Perhaps then people like you would stay who can%u2019t write a single line without verbal abuse!
There is a subtle difference in democracy of the powers vested in each of the above branches of government. While the parliament passes legislation, the executive carrying out the same, the judicial exercising the rights and wrongs of the system. While the Prime Minister advised the judiciary its 'Laxman rekha,' the Chief Justice equally reminded the chief ministers of such division. Since the Indian constitution is a written document, the Indian judiciary also observes the laws of natural justice, and as such it draws the lines of the executive exceeding its parameters. I can see the reason for the Prime Minister making such statements, because the judiciary has recently censured the government for its ultra vires actions. The judiciary should always be independent and not be political.
