Dirty Politicians
by Shiva on Sep 29, 2006 08:35 AM  Permalink

Our Politicians are ready to sell our country for power and money. This is a typical example by congress to please Muslims for votes ireespective of putting our country in extreme risk. The Goverment has to take steps to curb Terrorism but this joint statement in Havana gives more room for terrorist to carry out their activites. We need a strong goverment to strike terrorist oufits in POK and a strong rule in kashmir to destroy terrorist and any organisation which supports terrorism in our country.

Strong-kneed BJP??
by Kalai Selvan on Sep 29, 2006 06:43 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Mr Biswas & Mr Raju. During the kargil crisis the whole world knows that the BJP govt buckled under US pressure & did not go ahead with their military plans to smash pakistan. Also during the famous kandahar tamasha, the so called "strong-kneed" BJP govt paid millions of rupees of tax payers money to the black mailing terrorists and let confirmed killers go scott free from indian jails. Man, there can't be one set of rules for the BJP & another for the congress!

Mr. Kalai, Kargil had to be a local conflict, the possibility of an all out conventional war with pakistan is ruled out for ever as both India and pakistan now have nuclear capabilities. I am not supporting the BJP government or their policies. At the end of the day if you look closely enough, the two parties have dealt with terrorism in pretty much the same way.

What caused India's about turn?
by GAURANG on Sep 28, 2006 07:25 PM  Permalink

I absolutey agree with author about the article. Indian Government is putting India and Indian civilian in great danger. Dr. Manmohan Singh and Home Minister Mr. Patil should resign from their post. Sonia Gandhi is playing Italian Style politics in India.
Former Government, BJP led government, knew about Kargil war and because of them so many Indian Soldiers died. They are blaming Indian Intelligence. Example: Former Defense Ministers order large amount of coffins for Indian Soldiers.

Dr Singh's concessions to Pakistan
by C V R Bharati on Sep 28, 2006 05:28 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

There seems to be no clear policy in Indian establishment towards dealing with Pakistan. Presuming that it exists it seems the cocenssions our PM extended to Pakistan lead to seriously erode the correct stand India has been taking all throughout that Pakistan is responsible for the terrorist acts in India.Dr Singh's statement that Pakistan is also a victim of terror and therefore it is okay to setup a joint mechanism to deal with terror is totally against Indias interests. Given Pakistan's total involvement in sponsoring terror in India giving clean chit and involving Pakistan in any joint investigative mechanisms is like calling a thief to help find ways to catch the thief himself. Whatever India has been projecting in the last two three decades has got wiped off by the senseless concessions extended by Dr Singh.
Neither Musharraf nor Pakistani government are so simlistic as they protray themselves to be. They are fully handin glove with the gangs which are indulging in Nuclear Proliferation, Drug smuggling, couterfiet currency circulation, creation and proliferation of jihadi outfits and sponsoring terrorist activities at many places in the world.

Dear Sudhakar,

I really feel very sorry for you...
What one could make out of your comment was you are a fanatic supporter of Congress and of course would support blindly always...

Try seeing things in an objective way and judge things by the concrete data and proof available...
Meanwhile, I am not trying to support the author, BJP or RSS...

Thing is we first need to stop blaming somebody for all the misery in this country and instead take up the responsibility for the current state of our country...

We have spent too much time in flame-wars and some things which is not going to matter to common man...

We as a nation are really spineless people, irresponsible, selfish people (most of us), So I think we should start using forums in discussion which helps to develop our character and individuality which is going to be EVOLUTINARY PROCESS and which takes time. Try reading some good books. :) ...

Nations are built by strong people...
Lets start making ourselves strong (individual, our house, society ...)

Regards,
Vasu

It wan't a about -turn?
by Sudhakar Malpe on Sep 28, 2006 05:27 PM  Permalink

Mr. Ahutosh Misra's write-up on new mechenism of Indian foriegn policy to deal with Pakistan, has many flaw's;simply because his thoughts are baised and similar to the hindu fundamentalists lead by BJP(Bogus Janata Party) and its NDA allies.

Why has he not mentioned a single word on BJP's Kargil Bungling and their traitorous compromised foreign policy then, which handed-over royally, most dreaded terrorist, accompanied by Just-want Singh!?.

Yes, we need to talk and take a tough stance with terrorist attacks backed by US European Jaugernuts, to hinder the progress of India, under able leadership of Ms.Sonia Gandhi and Dr. Manmohan Singh lead Congress Government.

Havana or no Havana, Congress Party has always said that it would never compromise the India's non-allianed stand and it contiunes do take the same course, Father of Nation Mahatama Gandhi and First PM of India, the Panchsheela proponent Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru propogated this and stood with . All these issue are beyond the "criminal" BJP and RSS fundamentalist, who can only profess to "kill" the real Leaders that included none other then father of Nation.

Thanks,

Sudhakar Malpe
Mumbai, India.

India's about turn!!
by Ganesh on Sep 28, 2006 05:24 PM  Permalink

A very well written article. One must congratulate the author for writing with such clarity in his arguments and reasoning. There is no doubt that the respectable Dr. PM has bungled in dealing with our dangerous neighbor. It would be better if our PM confined his acts with finance alone, and let the defense, home, and security related affairs to the strategic community. On the contrary, Gen. Musharaf comes off as a shrewed, cunning tactician who can outwit the Indians on any turf. It is time we called the General's bluff and find the right men and ways of doing it.

India's U Turn at Hawana- A shame
by Rajan Kalsi on Sep 28, 2006 05:20 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The Joint statement at Hawana is a shameful day for 1 billion Indians.

Just for vote politics ( appeasement for 20 Million vote bank), the present UPA government has closed their eyes as far as national interests and security is concerned.

One can hardly find any nation in this whole world who can ignore the national interest and security just for vote politics. Congress and its allies are very dangerous for this country. Throw these anti national parties like congress, RJD, Left etc. out from the power and bring a nationalist government.

Mr. Manmohan Singh should apologise from the nation and cancel the joint statement immediately.

Vande Materam. Jai Hind
