Dengue, chikungunya
by pravin on Oct 10, 2006 04:52 PM  Permalink

Hi, this is pravin.
Whenever there is an epidemic /pandemic/or disaster we start blaming govt.
What are we doing as a citizen, what are our hygiene standards. Not very long ago Plague happened in Gujarat. I admit our municipalities are sleeping; they want to earn salary without working, But if keep not only our house but also our surrounding clean, no water logging, proper disposal of waste then how can the flies or mosquitoes breed.
Taking about cleanliness is easy; to follow is very hard. This is the same nation, where Gandhiji Lived, and taught us about cleanliness with a broom in his hand.
Method are very simple. Maintain good clean environment, Fogging, avoid water logging, proper disposal of waste.

The utter failure of the municipal waste disposal system is to blame for the double-trouble.

Which Government?
by Ashok on Oct 10, 2006 04:49 PM  Permalink

Which Government you are talking about? Is it the Central Government or the State government? Is it the District Council or the local Municipality? After all this is the way these people talk about while blaming each other for their own failures, right?

Most Health Ministers are suggesting that people should take care, people should do this, people should do that and so on. What do they do other than waiting for people to die and claiming that it is not an epidemic, it is not serious and so on?

I curse that those in the Government, their wives, their lovers, their girl-friends, their boy-friends, their children will also get infected by Chikungunya, Dengue, Malaria and other diseases so they realize the pain of those who are suffering.

Chikungunya
by Pavankumar on Oct 10, 2006 04:48 PM  Permalink

What about Andhra.Tamilnadu and Karnataka?

Many people are still suffering with the disease, according to the local Medical Experts there is no particular medicine that cures the disease and the patient has to bear with it for about 8-12 weeks.

Though there are many reports of death due to this disease there seems to be no answer/prompt action from the MOH either it be state or central......

Chikungunya
by Aradhana Takhtani on Oct 10, 2006 04:47 PM  Permalink

It's indeed sad that media, which shares equal responsibility with the govt for disseminating the facts to the public, is unaware of the real picture. Chikungunya, or ChikV, surfaced in India, in its deadly form much earlier than is being reported. In Gujarat and Kerala, it's killing people. But the govt chose to avoid mentioning it unless Delhi saw a few cases. As if India is only Delhi! In Gujarat, many elderly patients have died due to the nasty form of this virus. It's mutating fast and causing a rare condition of complete neurological damage. But no one's talking about it. This is EXACTLY what we are doing wrong.

controlling chickengunea & Dengue
by razackmd on Oct 10, 2006 04:47 PM  Permalink

Please spend money to control mosquitos and larvae rather than on terrorists & naxals. they will effect small patch of area but mosquitos are more dangerous than these extrimists. they can effect the whole nation population. In A.P more than 1 crore people effected by chickengunea and govt. is prescribing paracetemol instead of spending money on mosquito control. The whole state is effected by this discease and govt employees and farmers and others also.

Put some effort by govt. on controlling mosquitoes

envolve private organisation and Govt machinary.

envolve students and youth in fighting mosquitoes.

envolve doctors, engineers, professionals.

envolve rural and urban population

concentrate on media

if you cannot fight whole heartedly and top effort the country will be seen by the world as dark continent(African nation)

Govt. is responsible in mobilising all

Save life from DENGUE FEVER WITH PAPAYA LEAVES
by Srikanth on Oct 10, 2006 04:45 PM  Permalink

I would like to share this interesting discovery from a classmate's son who
has just recovered from dengue fever. Apparently, his son was in the
critical stage at the SJMC ICU when his platelet count dropped to 15 after
blood transfusion also.

His father was so worried that he seeked another friend's recommendation and
his son was saved. He confessed to me that he give his son raw juice of the
papaya leaves. >From a platelet count as low as 45 after blood transfusion,
it jumped to 135 after drinking the raw papaya leaf juice. Even the doctors
and nurses were surprised. After the second day he was discharged. So he
asked me to pass this good news around.

Accordingly it is raw papaya leaves 2 pcs just clean and pound and squeeze
the juice thro cloth filter. You will only get one tablespoon per leaf. So
two tablespoons per serving once a day. No need to boil or cook or rinse
with hot water, it will lose its strength. Only the leafy part has to be
taken, no stem or sap. It is very bitter and you have to swallow it. But
it works wonders!!!!

The government particularly Cabinet minister Anbumani Ramados is busy in swindling more money that doing the duty in protecting the Country. This is the case with all our Politicians . I hope Military Rule should come to India and save the people.

All the politicians should jailed and all their properties including Binami should be confiscated, except one or two like Dr.Manmohan Singh to be left out.
Hope Kalam takes power into his hands and head the country in this Military rule.
Rajan
