Does he really deserves it??
by Dr. Vinay Gupta on Oct 10, 2006 10:50 AM  Permalink

It is not nice to talk bad about dead ones. But, breaking this goody-goody tradition, I as an objective researcher would like to put light on the works of Kanshiram.
He in his political journey, weakened already fragile social network of the country. Looking to my own experiences in Indore since last 15 years, with emergence of BSP 'so called backward' category people were alienated from rest of the society. Slogans like- "Tilak, Tarajoo, Talwar; Inko maro jute chaar" were heard for the first time and very openly. Can anyone tell me why this kind of enemity towards so called upper caste people (who don't even get a govt. job despite of capability). Prior to this never ever heard of such fragmantation in the society. And for what reason- TO STRENGTHEN OWN VOTE BANK. Otherwise look to what he or his successor Mayavati (or Behen Mayavati as some devotees call her) has done for backward people. Any economic policy implemented for their upliftment? any training programs or educational programs to bring them to competitive levels? NO. Only demand for more reservation. And in the process make bank balance. Some article published that Mayavati's net worth is some THOUSANDS Crores!!!

Tribute to Kanshi Ram
by neeraj on Oct 10, 2006 10:31 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is noble tradition of great hundi religion to always think for the eternal peace of the departed soul. Hence every hindu will always think good for the departed soul irrespective of the fact what was his contribution to this great nation. He could be good as a person but surely not as a politician. More or less all so called masiahs of dalits have just enriched themselves and played with the feeling of dalits. Owing to lack of education and also due to lack of will power to come up in the life most of of the dalits are still there where they were 50 years back. Our politicians have just taught them to fight for every thing free by way of reservations. It is simple no education, no culture, no character just ask for reservations and use all foul language for manu and upper castes. While we keep weeping so much for such leaders we are conviniently missing a word gratitude for leaders like Savarkarji, Netaji Bose, Shastriji. English rulers have truely said that within 50 years we will starting repenting on our freedom. And now the time has come for us to say that we can not govern our own country. Hats off to all useless/hopeless politicians of today!!!!!

Hey i am in agreement with your thoughts on Kanshi ram and his likes. You talk about what the british said to india about us repenting freedom. And that's not thanks to politicians... its thanks to we the people. SO don't pass the buck of responsibility. We have created them and allowed them to prosper

Kashiramji's death.
by Mahasen Gandle on Oct 10, 2006 10:30 AM  Permalink

In death of kashiramji, nation has lost a great son of India who always thought of uplifting the unfortunate bretherens of this country. Such leaders should be called as true National Leaders because in devoting themselves for uplifting the gullible masses, awakening their self-respect is the need of hour to achieve national growth.

Let us reolve ourselves for working with the dedication for the cause for which Kashiramji strived throuh out his life.

I pay my respectful homage to this great National Leader.

MAHASEN GANDLE
