Does he really deserves it??
by Dr. Vinay Gupta on Oct 10, 2006 10:50 AM

It is not nice to talk bad about dead ones. But, breaking this goody-goody tradition, I as an objective researcher would like to put light on the works of Kanshiram.
He in his political journey, weakened already fragile social network of the country. Looking to my own experiences in Indore since last 15 years, with emergence of BSP 'so called backward' category people were alienated from rest of the society. Slogans like- "Tilak, Tarajoo, Talwar; Inko maro jute chaar" were heard for the first time and very openly. Can anyone tell me why this kind of enemity towards so called upper caste people (who don't even get a govt. job despite of capability). Prior to this never ever heard of such fragmantation in the society. And for what reason- TO STRENGTHEN OWN VOTE BANK. Otherwise look to what he or his successor Mayavati (or Behen Mayavati as some devotees call her) has done for backward people. Any economic policy implemented for their upliftment? any training programs or educational programs to bring them to competitive levels? NO. Only demand for more reservation. And in the process make bank balance. Some article published that Mayavati's net worth is some THOUSANDS Crores!!!
