Mr. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, chairman of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference

1. What would u do for the victims?? Any apology to the nation??
2. Will you divert the money and resources(collected for your freedom movement from pakistan) for the health and education for those orphaned in that attack?
3. Pl. don't use the word 'Guru' for those who preach against the princples of 'oneness and love'

DEAR UMAR FAROOQ WHAT IS A DIALOGUE ?
by I.SRINIVAS on Oct 05, 2006 10:38 AM  Permalink

Dear Umar, If you really believe that Kashmir needs a dialogue why did you not condemn the attack on parliament ? Is it your verson of a dialogue or negotiations? An attack on parliament sent one message throughout India and U.S.A. , that Kashmiris do not accept Indian parliament as real parliament. Where is your real parliament existing ? In Islamabad? Then why is another Farooq (Abdullah) in the upper house of that parliament? Whom does he represent in Rajya Sabha?

Afzal did not get a fair trial you say . But you had a lot of time to object to the trial. Afzal himself did not care for his defence in court.

If Kahmiris are really asked to express their opinion will they prefer a secular India with guaranteed minority rights or a military dictatorship which suppresses civilians? Please be fair. What type of Kahmir do you want? And how is U.S. involved in it.?

Who allowed them to meet?

They don't meet the others on death roll.

.

Besides, did you guys see the picture of 'prof' Geelani with the other two terrorists, Yasin Malik and the other guy? They seemed to be quite pally.

.

The courts should take such things into their consideration before they pronounce verdicts on such cases - in fact, the cases should be reopened.

Cancellation of Death Sentance
by Parveez on Oct 05, 2006 10:20 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is good seeing that Molvi Umer Farooq is pleding case of Afzal Guru and is rightly quoting that the secene after 20- OCtober if Guru is hanged will be different and will sent wrong message to the people who are looking now to talk with India. For sake of peace to this beautiful land concreat decisions has to be taken by Indian Authorities. I believe that fair trial should be given to Guru without bias or without charges framed by indian inteligence agencies who want to hush the episode and wash their shoulders by hanging Guru so that their answer of their presence be made.

Hopelessly ridiculous
by Partha on Oct 05, 2006 10:19 AM  Permalink

All the views of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq is crap. Hanging a terrorist, rapist or murderer won't bring peace back those who have been victim, but if they are not punished, it will be example for other such criminals. In this country, with weak political willpower and toothless law enforcers, criminals can get away with anything. If not anything else the entire process can be delayed for eternity and by the time justice is delivered, the criminal dies of old age. consider, every 2 yrs, there's a major bomb blast in mumbai, and now only few have been punished. Terrorists get away with all these only in India....because they have supporters in human rights, selfish politicians and few fools among us. If the terrorist is not hanged, he will be freed by his team by some hijack etc. Govt will spend crores of public money in negotiations and we general public will read all those in news papers and get on with life...it happens only in india!!!!

Umer Farooq is the political face of terrorists
by Arun Patel on Oct 05, 2006 10:10 AM  Permalink

It is amazing that Umer Farooq can show no sympathy for those killed in the Parliament attack but can show sympathy for a terrorist. No wonder I never see Umer Farooq showing any regret for the way Hindus have been massacred in the Valley. Has he led even one protest against the terrorists for them?

However, one should not be surprised if the US gives him some support. US interests are best served (so they think) by not antagonizing Pakistani terrorists. After all it was a Pakistani terrorist who brought the twin towers down. The US fears Pakistani terrorists.

Patrons of Terrorists
by Vijay Kr Singhal on Oct 05, 2006 10:09 AM  Permalink

Those who are speaking in favour of Afzal and against his hanging are enemies of the country. They are actual patrons of terrorists. For them lives of Indian citizens are cheap and that of a terrorist is precious. They all must be prosecuted as so-conspirators of terrorist activities.
