Tibet was never Chinese
by Dipak Bose on Jan 24, 2008 04:16 PM  Permalink

The British convened a tripartite conference to discuss Tibet's status at Simla in 1914. The Tibetans arrived at the conference with written evidence proving the historical independence of Tibet. The Chinese delegation, who were present only to witness the treaty between Britain and Tibet, argued that Tibet's subjugation by the Mongols and the Manchus proved it had become an integral part of China, and should therefore now be ruled as part of the new Republic of China of Sun Yat Sen from Peking.
However, Tibet was not really subjugated by the Mongols and Manchus but influenced by them. Neither Mongols nor Manchus were Chinese. In fact China itself was occupied for long by both the Mongols and the Manchus.

Using the same argument India can claim Burma, Malaysia, Singapore, HongKong as well.

FREEDOM !!!
by SANJAY on Nov 25, 2006 12:31 PM  Permalink

Guess what Mr. Chinese Dictator? We actually have freedom of expression in India, so don't tell us what we can or can't say in our country! Go back home and lie some more to your enslaved masses ... the Dalai Lama speaks the truth and the "Free World" has the sense to see it clearly.
Give me a break, how can anyone buy the nonsense this dude is trying to perpetrate on us? If your country is so great, Mr. Chinese Slavemaster, then open your borders and watch how many of your "comrades" flee to freedom!

Tibet the free land of Buddhism
by Sobers Rajakumar on Nov 24, 2006 07:23 AM  Permalink

The leaders of India should be ashamed of these claims by Hu Jintao. Tibet is a great peace loving nation being oppressed by China. China should learn from the downfall of the Soviet. No powerful nation will go unpunished for oppressing a peace loving land. Tibet is an Great Nation. History will heal, History will show the injustice back.

China is bullying India - TIBET was never chinese territory
by Gautam Sinha on Nov 24, 2006 05:06 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why are we taking all things laying down?

In our country human right is same for all including tibetans and we are democracy and can not suppress such demonstrations.

Why are we not shouting back at china saying Pakistan is our territroy. They should keep their hands off.

Mansaroval lake is our territory and given by ladakh to tibet in 16th century. Askai chin is part of Ladakh.

There was no ownership of china in Tibet so there was no sino indian border.

India foolishly supported this country in UN and also other forum and that country is not doing an inch. These are non thankful people and their statement is not trustworthy.
