Say Hell with them
by Colonel SS rajan on Nov 08, 2006 05:16 PM  Permalink

Americans are Rogues immaterial whether they are Republicans or Democrats. All that matters to them is their self interest, first, always & everytime.India should stand its ground and say 'Hell with the US'in case the Democrats try to be difficult. It must be made crystal clear that India can do without the US.In today's geopolitical scenario, it is the USA that needs India's support rather than vice versa.

US India Relations
by R.Rajadhas on Nov 08, 2006 05:04 PM  Permalink

Relations between India and the US are not going to be affected by the changes in the post political scenario in the US as a change would be bad for the US. I am sure there will be improvement in the relations which will be good for both the democracies.

Nuke Deal
by anurakshat on Nov 08, 2006 04:40 PM  Permalink

The nuke deal was having problems in any case. However, change in control of Senate or Representatives House wont affect the status of the deal. Foreign policy in USA is determined by long-term strategic goals and is rarely changed when the leader changes.

Expecting positive outcome in relationship
by siva on Nov 08, 2006 04:40 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Only democrats under Bill Clinton presidency started to make the relationship stronger. But growth of India economy made Republican to consider India relationship is vital. So I hope things will go in the right direction related to US & India relationship.

I think US people have done a great job to knock Bush out.But our Indian slave mind will never accept it.Moreover we are the biggest importers of US products and no one will try to kill that golden duck !! Honeymoon will continue but without Bush and his love for Pakistan.

It was circumstantial compulsion for US to be friendly with India. Friendship flourished in fact in the regime of Clinton or earlier durint the short time of Kennedy. Bush had Musharraf also in his pocket. Bush could know terrorism only when 9/11 happened. Before that there was no terrorism for him. There is value of human life which belongs to India. It is Bush who is alluding India on the issue of Security Council membership. It is Bush only who could not digest that any Indian should become Secretary General of UN, because Pakistan was not comfortable with it.......

Bush has been the best friend of India and also the best challenge to the islamic terror . The internal priorities of USA will take a toll on their external position . Osama will be happy , Musharraf will be relieved , but in India the Congress / Leftists will not miss the loss of a great friend who tries hard and bravely for creating a peaceful world on all accounts.
