Dear Mr. Raman, please be more careful in the future using the word "jihadi" in connotation with terrorism. This word has a holy although extreme connection with moderate muslims who are the vast majority in the world. "Religious fundamentalists" or "fanatics" is appropriate. Although "jihad" and "jihadi" as a noun and adjective has been used extensively, this is the first article on rediff where it has been used in more than one instance in an otherwise neutral and well written piece. I hope somebody in Editing notices this comment.
I greatly admire and connect with your call for restraint and the depiction of the manipulative nature of Indian politics. Thank you for the article.
I agree to your topic on stop politicising terror acts.
But the point is PEOPLE OF INDIA are afraid of talking the TRUTH, it is you Media who can only talk freely. The LAW IN INDIA HAS ABSOLUTELY NO ROLE, the politicians use it to suit their requirements. Can you really throw some light on the LAW In India, its Effectiveness......so that citizens in India can talk freely without FEAR in the so called DEMOCRATIC INDIA.
It is high time, as Mature Politicians of India, you should not have taken such decisions of Yatra and thereby showing the terrorist that their GAME PLAN WAS SUCCESSFUL.
IT IS REALLY SHAMEFUL ACT. Instead of trying to keep / maintain peace and harmony, BJP is trying to IGNITE the feelings - WHAT A SHAME.
Cowards have no strength to defend or to attack. They are just for bearing the attacks peacefully. Because if they react, it will help terrorist to destroy harmony and peace. Only one religion can promote Jihad and others are just cowards.
