India before the Kingdom of England arrived in india. According to Manmohan Singh in Britain last year, India's share of world Income in 1700, according to a white man economist named Angus Maddison from Cambridge, was 22.5% almost equal to the Europe's share of 23.5% in 1700. Mr. white Man, that India left it's door open for anyone and everyone. The ones who came with sword, guns and even the Jews who ran away from persecution" Again quoting Manmohan Singh, Indias share of world Income collapsed to 3% in 1952, thus making her the poorest country in the world. So please guest columnist, ask your white friends to return our wealth and we can live happily ever after. oh wait, that will bankrupt England ha?. Oh btw, even before your birth control pills and contaceptions, India had only less than 200 million people when we were rich. So you tell me, is it all our fault Mr. White man??
I know, this won't get posted. but atleast read it:)
1 Racism or let me say reverse-racism with the OBCs and SC STs getting a better share of everything. Lets face it. If they are not able to achieve in spite of all these reservations in the last 60 years then they better not be entitled to it anymore. 2 Religion(s). Whom can i marry? Which religion sub-caste etc he/she should be? All this must go. 3 Fair judiciory and legal system. And fair government officials. Punctuality in everything.
I completely agree with you regarding the 10 things of hatred you have mentioned. I would like to tell you a small incident on the same.
During my full time MBA at Australia, I use to go out to visit various cities. Once I went to Canberra and to my surprise my local tour took me to Australian Parliament. We did a complete tour of the Australia Parliament from inside with no hassels. Clicked lots of photographs and made small videos.
I was little disheartened as I could never be able to visit my own country's Parliament because of ..... the list goes on.
I fully agree with you. You have missed a few other points e.g. about our general discipline / conduct, lack of civic manners, lack of cleanliness at public places etc.
Claude Arpi is right on all counts, although I had not realised the paranoia for maps and photographs was so hateful; but why not add the obvious things to hate: Filth and lack of civic sense, crowds and lack of privacy, lethargy and a fatalistic attitude to accept the present as fate, etc., etc...
The next step is what are we doing about it? Continue hating it and lethargically accept these as part of Karma!

Look if you dont like India then I think you should think in terms of trying for a citizenship of Claude Arpi's country. We would all be better of if you did that
Dear Sir, I dont know the person who has written this article but my comment is that before writing any thing on any place of world first mention briefly how you are attached to that place i.e. by birth, by stay (how long), by education, by family etc etc etc. I agree on what you have commented but first one should try to know why this is happening. Is goveronment not aware of this? Tryto understand basic mentality of person i.e. history, culture, family values etc. Just compare these things to the rest of world. Some times people says these things are useless but if we think in another differeny way why people of India is doing such things?then probably some one can realised. See the recent history after independence improvement in people's way of thinking is changed, I would say its degrading but why?Probably comparison with we western world???Of course India made a her unique place among the world and I know every body has to walk according to time. Its a great achivement but again I would say the 10 things which mentioned here are not approprite and based on that some one can not hate India. I appreciate some one is really loves India thats why he is writing about. Jai Hind.
Its shameful to read such a shameless mesage from a shameless fellow.I don't think this mind less creature not read india properly. Before giving any comments on any body, that too when u r talking about GREAT COuntries like India better u stand out of this n think, then u will understand wat the value of it.Just to fill some words in the space don't do this again.India is a GREATEST country in this earth.yes they r some problems still v need to come up but this does n't mean like every thing is over. How dare you to use the words like I HATE India.don't u have sense mind less fool.don't u feel shame of your part for useing such things in net.Have to studied any thing about India til now, have u know how many great people r there in INDIA.India is named for tradition, culture, vale of Humanitity,non-violence,...n many more.i think u r one among that use less ting in this world who committed such rubbish things.its better for u not to do this again. When are we ashamed of anything. Hundreds and thousands of Kashmir Hindus have been murdered, raped and expelled from their homes -we are not ashamed-Hindus are hounded in Pak and Bangladesh-we are not ashamed. Justice party people who were essentially against Indian independence and worked against freedom fighters are placed at the helm of affairs-we are not ashamed. We ill-treated the freedom fighters and established slave rule-we are not ashamed-we do not respect the books maintained at great odds by mostly Brahmins-we treat them like garbage in the movies we take using these books protected at great odds-we are not ashamed. We treated PV as scum not even giving the ticket of the party in which he spent his life-we are not ashamed-when ever some one protests against the destruction of a temple, we call them fanatic Hindu-we are not ashamed. We show no pride for our past-we are not ashamed. When did we start feeling ashamed mister?
I am from india so i can't hate my country, same with anyone who belongs to their own country. However, i would also like to share some things that i dont like about my country: - Too much corruption. - Power cuts. People are used to it and take it as a part of life now. - Too much traffic on the roads, pollution, broken roads. - Prices of goods is too high, not according to the income of the people. - Politics involved in everything. And politicians and minting money too.
Its not that india is not growing. Its just that it is growing too slowly because of several factors like corruption.
