The 11th Thing I hate about India is, here everybody is prompt in complaining about system and boast their wealth or achievements, when it comes to be a responsible citizen, they don't care, including author of this passage.
I think you've summarized the points well, bringing in a few insights I personally wasnt aware of. I've been studyin' in london for the last few years, but often visit my homeland, only to be caught in this mixed feeling.. I feel nowhere more at home than my country, but I so wish it improved on all those aspects u mentioned and some more, I don wana start on.
What gives me confidence thou' is seein' the recent uprising of the youth over concerns regarding them. If a few group of sensible youth are put ahead and given a role in our politics, I think they'd make a difference, and for good!

the power failure is the worst thing i faced in india. I had my whole education in india where there were days which i studied under candle light during my exams and struggled to study.

what i meant to say is , people dont respect job..everybody is looking for some professional white collar jobs which makes them soo wealthy.and the same indian goes abroad and do all kind of labour jobs. then he dont fell shame to do it . I dont know the reason behind this fact.
If the last point is swapped to first point, then the article would have been more efficient. Infact the 'politics' is one of the major problems in India.

The "India Shining" campaign in the Indian and International media for the last three years never talks on these subjects which really affect the quality of life of most ordinary citizens. I agree with u on the fact that India has many things - not only 10 things - which need to be improved. But i think the worst of it is the fact there are no infrastructure in our country to improve and those which are available r not utilised or misutilised. The root of hte cause acc. to me is CORRUPTION. Even the some persons who r on the top of the govt. or bureaucracy hierarchy, who r supposed to be stopping these corruptions, r themselves corrupt. Then the poor people or the middle class cannot survive from being corrupt. I feel the points raised by u r fully correct.
