Its time to follow how Israel or US reacts when even one of its citizen is hurt. Dose indian life dose not have any value. Why everyone is sleeping? Even single drop of blood should be avenged.
Your article clearly puts forth the ire and anger felt by every true Indian in the wake of the latest attacks in Mumbai. I believe that only the strong can practise non-violence. But has India ever proved its strength any time now? Has it ever conveyed its message strongly to the terrorists by taking strong action? How many leaders of terrorist outfits have been beheaded or hanged or even arrested by India? What use is it going about proclaiming that we are a non-violent country if we are not able to protect ourselves? Who in the world,let alone terrorists, will respect India unless it shows the world that it has the power to act violently but just chooses to practise non-violence? By the way what was the Indian Intelligence doing when such blasts were being planned? We need a bias for action. We must strike terror in the terrorist! Till then, such carnage will continue.... I sometimes wish we had a hawkish leader like Bush. At least, he tried to root out terrorism. Sir, you really have a gift for words. I am sure you will go to great heights.
Indian government is interested only in useless politics and monkey acts instead of service to the PEOPLE for which they are their. I bet with all you people that nothing will happen .... yes nothing ... they will just do some long long ....investingation and will set commisions. people will forget and then after some time same story...and same reactions like this.
In my opinion, our leaders will act only when they themslves will be the sufferers of such tragedies. They would have certainly acted, if (un)fortunately attack of Parliament had suceeded and taken a big toll of such "Reformative leadres". These terrorist stab you on your back and they do not even claim for their act. They do not have a place or an identity. It boils down to anger, loads of anger at the system and basic animalistic instinct for food, flesh and shelter. They are not willing to work for it, they just want it. They terrorise people into giving what they want.
We as individuals can not fight back simply because we do not know who to fight with.
If you want an establishment to do it, then the establishment has to think for you also. Ignoring it as a part and parcel of life would be the best solution. If not, then going to war and making a enemy is the next best option. We do not want to stab anybody on their back, so let us bare our chest. We all know Pakistan is the only possible host to these terrorist, simply becasue they are interested in Kashmir. We should take them on.
Simply becasue Pakistan will have a few good people too, who are willing to fight eye to eye and not stab people on their back like cowards.
As he rightly put we have to follow other countries like Isrel,russia,US & Briton about their tactics and methodology of crushing terrorists.Even our law should be strengthened.There is no meaning in talking,negotiating etc.,when you know you are going to be killed oneday or other,you have to save yourself by the whatever cost you pay.There will not be any mercy in handling those people.At least now the so called secular parties like communists,RJD,SP should really think of saving our countries and not making statements in favour of religious minorities for getting the votes.We know all minorities are good and they are in the mainstream and they should also identify the people in their group who are involved in terrorist activities otherwise soom they will isolated from the main stream.It is everyone responsibility whatever the position he/she has to be alert and informing the security people for suspected people.I request all security people to be alert and not budge for any kind of sops from any people since you/your family also will be affected one day by terrorist attack.Be aware and do your duty. Of course, like an ordinary person I cannot but endorse what Mr Bhate in his well -written note demands, of all of us and particularly Gadflies, peaceniks and self-annointed moderates& liberals of contemporary secular discourse...This talk of inevitablity of long-drawn arguments related to social and economic sources of Terrorism ought to cease; it is a sham analysis ,that is indulged by cowards and well-heeled intellectuals. I am reminded of Ike the supreme Allied commander of of second World-War who refused to entertain any formal meetings with captured Nazi High-command ,saying brusquely his only concern was with those other Nazis who were still rampaging...Israel and Putin also in recent weeks have shown how a determined state takes on the terrorist sans kid-gloves...D.Goel
I agree with Mr. Shishir 100 % . The terrorist knows no law and there is no law above the fundamental law of humanity. If humanity is threatened the only alternative is inflicting irreparable retaliatory damges. We have to learn from Israel which went to the extent of Bombing Airports , Oil wells , hostile military bases etc. both as a retaliatory as well as a precautionary measure. Even if anyone is found to be remotely connected to such a dastardly act he should be hange publicly. World opinion etc. is meant for diplomats and politicians to tackle later. Venkatesh
