To combat this evil we should be more close with US
by zunil on Jul 12, 2006 02:15 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Hi,
As everybody knows,India nad US are the two biggest democrarcies , facing this kind of terrorist acts. We can't hide and severe ties with US and tell that problem is resolved. India has to face this with courage and iron hand and we require the support of like minded nations like US, UK etc.

What are you talking about???
by Rahul on Jul 12, 2006 02:11 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I can only say that this man's education is all in wane. These Islamic terrorists want to kill as many non muslims as they can, here Hindus. That's what they want. That's what they did. To make stories (some even saying the killing of 2 rampagers in Bhiwandi was responsible) is like living in Fool's paradise.
I really pity people like this author & also rediff for spreading disinformation.

Rahul old chap,

Is there a problem in your understanding or were you simply born this way? The author is not disputing the fact that the terrorists wanted to kill as many non-muslims as possible. He is, I believe, attempting to widen your perspective by informing you of the global co-ordination networks terrorists have these days. In order to counter these effectively, we need to start thinking of our allies, and these happen to be the OECD (for better or worse). If we stick to a "It's Pakistan" routine, the world will simply shrug and go away as it has done these past 20 years. At least by conjuring up global terrorism as the "enemy", we gather the support of the powerful. Too bad you dismissed his theories so fecklessly. Next time try reading the article, oui?

War on Terror - from Mumbai
by Anup on Jul 12, 2006 02:06 PM  Permalink

It is being said that the 7/11 Mumbai blasts are a message to India not to have relations with US. I would like to point out that no outsider has the right to tell us what to do or not. We and only we will decide what we should do. US angle is a totally separate issue, and there can be no justification for these cowardly acts.

In view of the above, my message to fellow countrymen is that we should not succumb to threats like these, from a few thousand terrorists. Let us not forget that we are 100 crore plus, and we can squash them. Let us support the global war on terror, openly. Let us also now give them a message that they have made a huge mistake by touching us. INDIA CANNOT BE TAKEN LIGHTLY.

Condemn it but learn to fight
by Sanchari Ghosh on Jul 12, 2006 01:55 PM  Permalink

Its sad but true that people who are not remotely associated with political happenings around the world fall victims to such inhuman attacks.I second Mr. Thyagaraj's opinion in the last two paragraphs. But where is the ultimate solution- will dialogues and negotiations pay off ever or it is time to take up this fight as our own against the killer

terrorists?

Mumbai Blasts
by Vishal on Jul 12, 2006 01:54 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Although national television didnt cover the serial blasts of mumbai here in Australia, on behalf of all Indians here, this act is a horrifying piece of savage and unreal fanaticism for which, innocent lives are being lost. I hope the authorities find out the concerned and hang them till death and put the rest in concentration camps and exterminate them

Congress Government cant do anything on this issue. Most of the time they ruled in india after independence. This is the well known fact that all the terrorism is developed in his time and they have done nothing. As the Congress do not want slip muslim votes from his bag. Congress party and their government is the main problem in this issue.

If congress really want to resolve this issue, they have to take some strong decision against terrorists like israel. Goverment have to use his intelligence machinery and should destry terrorist camps in POK and bangladesh without thinking about peace talks with pakistan and others.

We cannot continue peace talks on the cost of our innocent citizens.

Congress has done nothing even when this happened in Mumbai last time. They are happy to support the cause that can give them some kind of political milage. I will bet you they will include reservation for terrorist in future.

raj_chin.../ rahul...its so easy 2 accuse one religious group / section of society for any inhumane act....I am sure you must hv not reacted on the gujrat in the wake of the Godra train incident...however the investigations revel tht the reason for the buring compartment was something else...do u justify the action of US which put 2 countries (afginastan / Iraq) on fire to catch one individual (saddam hussein / laden)....hundres of innocent muslims have been killed there daily...

sorry but i dont agree with you guys....today if someone harms u or ur loved ones...will u sit hoem n keep quite....

Read up the history of Taliban before taking sides with the US. Don't you know that US is the one who supported and nurtured Taliban during the cold war period in order to weaken Russia?

It really a sad day for mumbai infact itis for the entire country. Why should these things happen?why innocent poeple are targeted? If we know who is behind this then why not take action? My feeling is when should get up from our slumber and smash those organizations responsible for these things.Days of calm, exchange of peace are gone and out.Deal terror with terror. We should use military force and wipe out those militant outfits and their training camps.

It's highly shameful!!!!!!!!!!!
by vineeta on Jul 12, 2006 01:01 PM  Permalink

The terrorism industry is globalising day by day. It is the disease which is spreading across the World. It's higly shameful on part of human beings keeping themselves busy in killing others who are innocent. Atleast we as human beings can certainly do better things.
