Son-Stroke
by Ashok chavda on Jan 19, 2006 09:46 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

In the line of son-stroked politicians, Devigowda is the latest, His son blatently refused to follow ever sleeping father and jolted him at this age, when he can not even awake fully. well as far as the Congress is concerned it was not seen as major political force in K'taka, as well as on the national scene. in the state it took support of D'Gowda, and centre the leftist and anti BJP forces. This is definitely a slap to Dgowda by his own blood who, in his quest for the power, joined enemies of father. Blood-less coup is the beauty of democracy, we have one more.

What ever the Son did, its for the sake of power and development of K'taka. People have seen enough of corruptions from The most eligible corrupt party, namely congress in india.

Read the history with out any partiality, you will be cleared of your doubts over BJP.

I have never seen Karnataka politics going this low.

It has become a custom with Janata pariwar that whenever it comes to power in Karntaka there always will be breakup in the party. There are seniors laders in JD(S) who had waited for ages to become Chief Minister, its interesting to see what stance they take now.

The politics in Karnataka
by Sunil S Chiplunkar on Jan 19, 2006 09:35 AM  Permalink

It is truly sad, that people in Karnataka do not enjoy a set of good politicians. This in spite of Karnataka having illustrious community, technical and business leaders. The current drama orchestrated by Deve Gowda and his family is causing much anguish to people of Karnataka. The electorate's sentiments be damned, getting the CM gaddi seems to be the most important goal of our politicians at any cost. In this 'kichdi' situation, development will further suffer and the infrastructure will take another round of beating ultimately causing much hardship to the common man. It will be wiser if the Governor on some grounds dissolves the legislature leading to mid-term elections. This will also put a sense of discipline in politicians. In fact, it is high time that a new law is made that prevents such changes in Govt with out mandate from people. The Govt put in charge at the first time should be allowed to continue for full 5 years or the legislature should be dissolved leading to fresh elections - such should be the law of the land.

will cong survive
by A.K. SASIDHAR BABU on Jan 19, 2006 09:31 AM  Permalink

In my opinion it is definit. Without the lion (Devegowda), no son can live up to his level. By deviding the party for immediate results the new faction tied up with BJP. In this bargain they may enjoy power for 3-6months but people are aware of things what is happening arround them. Kumar swamy canot be able to get the deposits in the next election for his so called supporters. BJP is no longer having the support of masses like earlier. In this situation, the cong becomes inevitable choice and DK will have chances of becoming CM next. Cong enjoys and right now enjoying.
