the 85% of population was not made poor by general merit people. It is not the correct information. Almost 40% of the poor people lived in forests. Now if you live in forests, that's not our fault. The remaining 40% were affected by GM but haven't you already taken away our lands, our money, aren't you getting yearly scholarships, concession in almost everything related to government. you have free hostels, free schooling, subsidized colleges what else do you need. the upper class never had reservation, they still had to qualify in merit to enter a gurukulam in the olden days. No one will question if the govt. gives financial aid but why reservation??????????
Reservation is nothing but a hinderance to the development of nation. why dont these politicians think to improve the efficiency of real downtrodden people. Why dont they think of improving the standard of living of poor people as a whole rather than thinking on cast basis and providing reservation. They should insist on giving free education, free training to all poor and destitute people, rather than providing reservation on cast basis... But only to raise vote they do all mischiefs.. Shame on India. Shame on Indian Politics. Reservation is nothing but a process to ignore talent and also to stop talent to emerge.

i am fully satsfied with you.But if there is no reservation to 1984 punjab riots or bengal riots then what u say is it the equality.Dont think that i m suffered from any of the riots but i think if some one suffered by any cause then reservations in education is right. It shows that Government is with those people. They care them. Also the millitary quata and the freedom fighter quata is also right. The family of the millitary members also suffers.I think for freedom fighter reservation you have no oppsition because freedom fighters earned it.so friend i m ajay sapehia 18 m distt hoshiarpur(punjab).studing in pec(punjab engineering college ) chandigarh.bye

india can't develop until it recovered from the problems like reservation . reservation is not a solution to solve the prblems like uneducation or unemployment . Originally it is done for the poor & needy people but i haven't seen any needy person in any educational institution who is getting the education on the category seat . these r only used by those persons who r rich or don't have the stydying skills . due to these persons there r so many intelligent persons who left from getting the seats in their dream institutes . now in the large institutions the seats are not given on inteklligence basis but given on the basis of the categaory . due to the reservation many persons in the category left from getting the seats even if there r some blank seats . reservation is not done to help the people it is only to mismorise the general public to getting their vates in elections . these politicians to save their seats , is destroying the future of new generation . we can not develop untill our government is in safe hands who will not use the future the youth for saving his seat .

due to the various reasons in our country the lower caste people are not able to compete the talented, the so called upper caste people.if reservations are not there, the very few people going to higher education, higher posts will surely be not there.think in a different angle.
why all political parties are running to grant reservation in every place not even sparring institutions and private industries.
Don't so called upper caste people have right to have education and employment.Even media is unable to depict the plight those who live in npoverty inspite of beso called upper caste. Caste does not guarrentee any person wealth but due to reservation these people are unable to get any such benefit as enjoyed by so called lower castes.
we have encountered such students who got money from government inspite their fathers were well salaried while at the same time those poor upper caste persons were unable to get such benefits due to caste factor.
Is not this division created by the politicians only.
Can the govt do anything other than think about bringing in reservations in every possible sphere of life? Now they're thinking about doing it in the private sector for the jobs!!! for what??? I say let the person qualify on merit and then give him/her a subsidy on whatever expenses he/she may have to incur during the education. By the way... Jitendra puts forward a VERY INTERESTING OPINION.. reservation in politics??? Y NOT? i'd like to know they're opinion considering they took ages to bring in reservation for women in politics and finally did bring it in with amendments to suit them!!!
Reservation was a weapon used to increase the vote bank and it still continues even today (after 50 years of Independence)...shame on us that even today some of our fellow country men do not even dare to think that they can make it in open competition.
When will India start creating confident people who can confidently say that they can make it in open competition??? 100 years from now....300 years from now or may be never.
it is down right negation of the equality principle laid down by the Indian constitution.People with low incomes or social backwardness maybe helped with reduced fees and extra coaching. Bringing down qualification threshholds, providing them with specific quotas etc are well trodde waysdown the quakity path to extinction - probably the only thing our political leadres have been defenitly able to acheive since Independence!
