The Judgement in the Jessica Lal murder case is shocking to say the least. It proves that our legal system is hopelessly biased in favour the rich and powerful. There have been seven other seemingly open and shut cases in Delhi alone in which the criminals went scot free simply through money and muscle power. Why can't the testimony of crucial witnesses be recorded under oath in front of a magistrate at the start? Why can't witnessess be penalized for behaving like mercenaries? And why isn't action taken agains police officers who earn a fast buck by manipulating evidence?
The judgement is not shocking but stunning. It was an "open and shut case". A murder committed in the presence of so many people. And everyone goes scot free!!!!!!!
It seems to be procured on the basis of purchased witnesses and everyone else connected with the case. It definitely erodes my confidence as a citizen in the country's judicial system.
It is a murder of Jessica for the 2nd time. This time, by the collaborative efforts of a large number of people, administrative and other institutions.
I am software engineer. I was totally astonished to hear this judgement of Jessica Lal murder case.Manu sharma, Son of DP Yadav and others have been left. I think after this, no one in the country will believe on the law and justice of our country. I think in Delhi, law and order is nothing but a game for rich people who can do anything and will save themselve from law by power or money.I think our political system is also very responsible for this. In delhi, what I found the awareness is very less in compare to other part of the country.I know in cities like Calcutta, Pune and banglore people are very aware about their surrounding. But in Delhi people are less aware and don't pay attention to thier society. In Delhi no one fears from law and order because people know that no one is responsible for thier mistake and no one can ask about thier behaviour. Even children are very bold they are not cultured like Marathi or bengali or Karnataki child.
Police system is corrupt in this city. This is worst in compare to other cities.
So I want to say that we will see more cases like this in future in Delhi and ncr.
I could just imagine plight of a common man, who, in such cases doesn't even get this kind of publicity.
The fact remains, Jessica died. Who killed him, if not that beast?? It set a perfect example of how one can make a mockery of whole judiciary. It is simply pathetic that the system has reached to such a level that victim even loses hope and doesn't appeal at all.
My suggestion for Jessica's sister would be to go for high court and if funds are any problem let her just publish her address in media and public will do its bit...I certainly will.
Manu sharma must be punished... I cant believe that we have become so weak, that we can aquit a criminal like that. Also, we must appeal to the president. We must fight it unitedly.....
I am deeply shocked by the judgment and the turn of events. I do not live in India for years and would loathe to return back to my own home country, where life has no value, where judicial system has not value, where investing money or starting any venture can be like hanging sword on your head!! I can't even imagine how Jessica's family might have taken it but I am sure of one thing my motherland about which we try to prove in every NRI meets about it being great power, and uggh!!! the slogan of MERA BHARAT MAHAN is soo much of a farce and is too disgusting! Few days back I read about one young IIM Grad being murdered for investigating into the corruption in petrol pumps and killers are being let loose on streets in capital of Delhi!! God only knows who and what is going to change this deplorable state of affairs. Is our Media, judicial system, government all sleeping!! Given the choice to me, I would make entire family of Sharma's be put behind bars. If nothing is being done even this time by Indian Govt., lots of educated people will have their heart broken and would loose any remaining faith in Indian Judicial system. God Bless Jessica's family. Regards,
i hav full symapthy with the lal family and can understand thier feelings when they have lost their daughter and now after 8 long years they got a verdict against them.for wahtever reason.Simple the judge along with the witnesses would have been purchased or threatend or wat ever. What does this system in our country wan to prove is my question. If some one kills another prson without leaving evidence provable or will purchase the evidence does that mean the victim hs not been killed at all.If similar thing happens to the people who are in this type of activity involved then wat... wil be their feelings it is not going to help even if u meet president or go to supreme court coz it will take another 10 yrs to come with a judgement and by then the people concerned may either be not their or may have no purpose to fight it again who kno some one will purchase some other authority at that time.
A classic example of the inefficiency and corruption in the police departments. When the culprits are hi-fi then it is taken for granted that they will go scot free in Delhi( the city of power brokers ). There are innumerable cases where money has changed hands and justice has been bought. Alas the lady of justice is blind !! Whenever a crime takes place the general public approaches the cops for help and protection, but when the cops themselves take sides with the highest bidder then God only can save this country and it's people. I think the time has come for the lady of justice to shirk off her blindfold, make impartial judgements and assuage the feelings of the victims. If this is not done then the younger generation may take the matter in their own hands ala "Rang De Basanti " and teach a lesson to the law breakers.
