Hey what is happening
by Sumit Goyal on Feb 20, 2006 08:45 PM  Permalink

Hey Man,
What is happening in our country. We do not have a common law.We cannot punish a person who is caricaturing the Hindu Gods. I do not have words to write about this. Is this what we call as secularism in our country. What is happening. No one to explain this. Count the Muslims in different states, minorities, is this what Father of the Nation died for? Or this is the beginning to end the secular living in our country. Where is what termed as ..."Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Isai...aapas main sab bhai bhai". Time is gone, all have to live for a single community. To destroy a person who is coming your way. To be superior, you have to do everything. If you have the power, you have everything, else you do not have the rights to stay alive in this world.

Make sure to do what you say, else....God knows what is gonna happen to our Nation.

Thanks and Regards
Sumit Goyal

Ignorant
by Ganesh on Feb 20, 2006 08:44 PM  Permalink

All the great religions call for forgivance for ignorance on the part of humans. I am sure Islam being a great religion also calls for forgivance and non-violence towards fellow human beings or "sinners".It's time the qazis and other muslims realise this and stop issuing mindless fatwas to instigate the islamic community towards violence and bring great disrepute to this great religion. More maturity and tolerence is expected. It's sad to see the muslim world moving towards violence in order to protect the great religion that patronises peace ! Unforutnate, indeed.

Fatwa
by Tan on Feb 20, 2006 08:43 PM  Permalink

I was shocked to here this fatwa being given by a muslim in india as I being a muslim have limited knowledge about islam but we muslims are living in a secular india and i am proud to say that i have got more respect in my home land any other muslim country . But one thing is that Islam also states that when u live under a non islamic land with their laws you are obliged to respect those laws of that land . Islam orders muslims living in non muslim land to follow their laws and if these laws imprine on their freedom to practice islam them migrate or fight for it and with all respect indias greatness is its ability to allow people of all faiths to worship their religion

Ban such 'courts'
by Dr. Deep Prakash on Feb 20, 2006 08:35 PM  Permalink

There is the law of the land, which is very much taking care of everybody, irrespective of caste, creed or religion, therefore such 'independent' courts should be condemned. If anybody has any problem or grievance, they are free to lodge any PIL in courts. This is high time Government strictly ban independent courts as well as various caste panchayats, which seem to be extra judicious. Even the high courts or Supreme court must take a suo moto notice of such irresponsible actions, as the law is 'justice should not only be done, but its also seen to be done'. Following this spirit, it is also the duty of Courts to let people feel in this country that no-one, high or low, majoriy or minority can take law of the land for a ride. Hope sanity prevails.

When they kill children, innocent women and men, their Prophet is very happy with them...

This is all bull shit..

All fundamentalists should first be shot in the middle of their heads

then comes this cartonist who at least didn't take any life...

Shariat court's death decree
by Anoop on Feb 20, 2006 08:00 PM  Permalink

I highly criticize this approach adopted by Indian muslims. At large muslim popuation still want to live in 700AD. I can't understand if there can be any reason to kill a person in the name of religion. In past, 4-5 hundred years ago, these kind of practices had been seen in other religion too including Hinuism & Chrisitianity but at least for now this is considered as crime. But in muslim world still these 'fatwa' practices are common. I wish God could give these pppl eyes to see life beyond blind faith. The role of Indian Govt & specially UP Govt. seems very hazy ...they don't want to touch these selfish clerics in sake of muslim vote bank. If these practice reamin allowed the day is not far when these clerics will openly bid for life of common ppl. And ppl in need of money would start to commit crime. I feel a person who force somebody to commit crime is bigger criminal than anybody as he wants his hands remain clean & other to commit crimes for them.I appeal muslim young ppl plz discourage these practices so that we and our children would live peacefully not for religion but for life.

comment on minister giving 51 crores to kill a person
by manish on Feb 20, 2006 07:35 PM  Permalink

!!!!!!UP Minister for Haj Mohammad Yaqoob Qureshi last week announced a cash reward of 51 crore for whoever beheaded the cartoonist!!!!!!!!???????

what does the above sentence explain to a comman man of his state or to say mr.yaquoob's voters??? where there is so much of poverty and unemployment problems, illiteracy etc for comman man.

mr. minister you can create educational institute, you can open schools and let me tell you that with 51 crores you can solve N number of problems within your constituency leave alone the state.
you can spread the beauty of ISLAM.let me tell you action may work but correct action will speak volumes about ISLAM and its preachings.
it is said in every religion that if a person realises his mistake even god forgives him, with your statement you are taking away the chance even god gives that is to realise ones mistake.i hope you will sow the seeds of love which islam teaches.
