Reservatios and concessions to any group....wil only take the people backwards because they become dependent on the sops and will not build up their own careers and skills.
India is suffering from inferior quality work forces in all the government orgnizations.
Where as the real skilled from all the religious groups irrespective caste community are thriving abroad.
As long as India does not stress on quality skilled work force , it will remain a developing country and never a developed country.
Sachar's findings are an eyeopener to the muslim community who have kept themselves illusive from the mainstream and looked only through their religion.Religion is important but it should not keep you away from the mainstream interest, lack of educating their children for the future and not heeding to the national call for limiting ones number or children for their benifit has gone into deaf ears dueto some primitive reasonings. All these have brought them into the list of the underpreviliged and underdeveloped. Now their community can progress in the nation by cooperation towards the constitutional law and not go in for a seperate law of their own which may still keep them backwards.Only when one joins the mainstream without keeping once vested interest can one progress without fail, the more one cooperates the more one benifite in groups.Ones rational thinking can help one to decide what is best for them and then take a step to prosperity.Shobha Nair.
One should face facts squarelly. Approx 15% of our population belong to the Muslim community. They are spreadout throughout our country, and as such, they are one with all of us i.e. Hindu's, Bhuddists , Sikhs, Christians, etc. We all are citizens of our country and frankly all should be given an equal chance in education and employment. But I have a caveat. Merit in education or employment should be the only critrea. This reservation policy now stinks. The creamy layer of this reservation policy do not want to give up this privilege. They have prospered with this policy and it is time they were kicked out. In my himble opinion, the only way out is to spread education from the primary stage, throughout India. The economically backward classess should be given incetives/educational help by their respective State governments so that they can live up to their potential. There is no shortage of bright students from the so called economically backward communities. Jay Prakash Narain had started a movement of 'Antyodya'i.e.helping the poorest of the poor in all respects, irrespective of caste and religion.Helping them will enable our country to reach great heights.
at last muslim leaders came to know the cost of secular image and the hamstrung in development they suffered, during the rule of secular parties such as SP. yes, it is acclaimed statement that their vote bank politics not only helped defeat BJP but also muslims development.
Are the muslims really backward!! No, they are just economically backward.
Atleast one member in thier family is in the gulf earning and sending huge money. Plenty of thier posh plots and lands is in kerala. Yes, you can see that when they got oppurtunity in Gulf, they were able to get developed and grow. If they would have been in India, they would have remained same.
Less % in education?? Who stopped them from going to school, colleges? Why are they not going? You get all the reservations, scholarships etc but what muslim get? NOTHING
Give them what ever to thier proportions: Hmm, did they give it to the kashmir hindus? Have you ever seen the conditions of 1 crore Kashmiri muslims? How the are living? YOU IGNORANT FOOL Give them thier proportions: Hmm, they are ever growing. Look at Assam. Yeah, if 4 crores indians can go abroad to find jobs, then why people from other countries can't come to India for jobs? Give them thier proportions: Hmm, they already got one-third land of india during independence. Pakistan is one third the size of India???? Have you ever seen the world map? CHECK THE FACTS
Saiyid Hamid, chancellor of Jamia Hamdard University and former vice-chancellor of the Aligarh Muslim University, set the tone for the seminar with his remarks: "This is a rare opportunity which will not come again. The Muslim community must fully utilize it. The Sachar Committee report has told Muslims that you are more backward than the non-Muslim, Other Backward Classes of India. We have been officially told now that our place is nearer to Dalits."
Elsewhere, Saiyid Hamid when asked "What is the most important challenge facing Indian Muslims?" replied, "Without a doubt, education. Muslims in the south have established very important professional institutions but they have not been able to achieve quality in them. The world is so competitive and educationally our country is so advanced that unless we Muslims attain a similar standard by dint of organized hard work, we have no future. We have proved ourselves incapable of running our educational institutions and maintaining a high standard. That is the biggest challenge."

Whatever you had said is ok but sachar is a stupid tool of politicians whom are aimed at vote-bank and his report is a garbage, actually.
Anyone can clearly see the socio-economic divide of Muslims is same as of Hindus or Chirstians or Sikhs. So the existing SC/ST-BC-OBC-OC model will rightfully work for good. Doing anything else will sure give the guys a back fire atleast at a coner.
