I am trying to get in touch with the Bugti family to convey my deepest sympathies for the loss of Akbar and his sons/gransons on 27 Aug. It came as a complete shock that Musharraf felt so threatened by such an educated person such as Akbar - but then I find that most ignorant people feel educated people a threat. I knew all three of the brothers, Akbar, Ahmed and the third brother whose name escapes me at the moment. I went to the same school as Akbar and Ayub Khan's two sons this was the Karachi Grammar. The three of them stayed in the same hotel as I did in the lat 50's. I would like to get in touch with Ahmed if he is still alive. Please could you help.
An eye opener for Kashmiris who want to join Pakistan. Take a good look you seperatists. What Pakistan wants is land not you! You will also be treated just like Bukti if (at all) Pak gets Kashmir. Shiv
How they claim they will take care of all the kashmiris aspirations.. if they are not able to address aspirations of people of balochistan... ... ?????????????? those separatist should now be alarmed by all these acts of pakis or whole kashmiriyat will be gone in years to come .. and all will remain is .. jehadiyat...
Pakistan wants Kashmir to be separated from India, he is not able to fulfill his dream.Pakistan should bother about himself of not to be divided again second time after Bangladesh in 1971.
Aspirations of Baluchi's have been crushed for ever.Punjabi Army has been ruthless with Baluchi's. A lot of oil is being siphoned off Baluchistan. What Khan Bughti was demanding a share of that wealth forbringing Baluchistan out of the shakles of poverty and backwardness...well that was his crime. Pakistani Army is thr root cause of all evil in this part of the world. The whole operation was supported by the oil thirsty US, by providing satellite tracking , imagery and precision guided missiles. It is a shame for the freedom loving USA. Bhugati will in the hearts and minds of all Baloochi's till grave. Baluoochis have been denied their basic rights for ages. Long live the Sardar of Baluchistan.

The convergence of the long term economic interest of the major powers has a bearing on the happenings in Balochistan.Pakistan is a client state of the Western Powers being a member of CENTO.They;the members are foresworn to aid each other and so it is not surprising that the State of Pakistan has received all the help to quell any form of dissidence. The killing of Bugti is not surprising at all.In fact it may have cleared the way to exploit the full economic potential sans the local opinion. Locals being co-opted into the burgeoning industry by new jobs. These are the classic developmental pangs. What is India's response? It seems to be more emotional and attached to local Balochi sentiments, in direct opposition to the Great Powers. What is its effect? Nothing save dislike and hatred of our neighbours. What do we expect out of this stand? Nothing significant save participation in UN aid programmes, supplying grain, medicines, construction contracts and lastly Bollywood movies. The position is clear regarding our standing in the general scheme of things. Do we still want to participate in Balochistan?
India should stay off from the internal war in Pak. We have enough on our hands already. Pak can justify their involvement in J&K if India chose to comment on the negetive or took a moral support line. Therw will be those in the MEA who will tell India to take hard steps, and that could lead us into more trouble. We cannot fight on multiple fronts.
It's the clear indication that they want to suppress the every voice even though its muslim against terror. We should be much harder against paki's leaving the diologes.
Pakistan always shedded crocodile tears for the freedom and aspirations of Kashmiris, while always ill-treating Baluchistanis. Pakistan is an expert in double talk, deception and cunningness. India must strongly support Baluchistan and make it free from Pakistan. Let us support the freedom struggle of Baluchistan.
Pakistan harps about human rights abuses by Indian forces on the "muslims" of Kashmir. Does India use such massive firepower on its own citizens? Aren't the Balochis Muslim? The level of ruthlessness used by Pakistan on its own people is beyond compare. This repression created Bangladesh. Its not long before it creates Balochistan!

No..Wrong..I think what will actually happen is: Pakistan will be divided soon and shared by India Iran Afghanistan and a new country, as has historically been. And it will be good for all except for the fools in between who have been a nuisance for the world since last 50 years.
i dont think we should support an independent baluchistan not just because it is an internal affair of pakistan but because this is falling into an american trap. they have plans to create pro-american statelets in that area which will include kurdistan, baluchistan and an enlarged azerbaijan. also the pashto speaking areas of pakistan will be made part of afghanistan and what is not mentioned but tacitly agreed upon is that kashmir will become part of pakistan. do we want this to happen?
