12 people having indian passports, got detained due to their stupid behavious on board a foreign airline, came to Mumbai and said they had problem of language, mis understanding and also they were tired besides that they flew 22houors from Trinidad to Amsterdam and were "just looking features of cell phones they bought at Trinidad as it was cheapest". Well - they did not verify while buying, nor did they try during 22hours travel and waits during the travel. They were excited to test/try these once aboard at Amsterdam? how come NW AIRLINES crew to know they are travelling all the way from Trinidad?? this is not a direct flight. What ever it is, these 12 idiots have put other travellers who are non-mislims in problem with UK asking for advance information of a traveller, even if he is a visa holder. Now many have to give reasons for travel before hand and also face doubtful looks at all western airports. These 12 must be booked atleast in India for causing national disrepute, and the TV channels who started the racial outlook cry, must be also penalised. it is time, Govt of India brings in some kind of censor rules preventing TV channels going on air premature.
I donot blame you for your comments. They represent typical ghato culture. Now Instead of blaming the airlines or other countries for what they are doing you should analize and correct the wrong which has been done. Second , the people detained should leran to behave and follow inflight rules and regulations. I am sure if they were exporters and were frequent fliers , they would know them.
I cant understand why the media has hypenned it as racial profiling, it is how the west works, u know after the incidents in britan, all the european countries were on high laert, they would something suspecious, and they checked it, which is why they manage to catch the culprits before they get the acts together, and were as the indian intelligence, has no trace of people who killed 200 innocent people. Of course it is the buisness of the media to make news out of nothing, the people in hte mortwest airline payed the price for not behaving responsibly, they thought they have almost reached india as soon as they boarded the flight.
In this day and age, one has to adhere to and conform to the norms, rules and regulations as regards travelling by air. If you behave in an uncivilised or suspicious manner, or rather even give the slightest impression that could be construed as a case for substantial concern and worry, it then is absolutely justified if you are detained, or " treated like a dog",- in one of the passenger's words. Today dawns a new era of sophisticated terrorism , thus it calls for all responsible citizens of the world to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner that befits good decorum!!
when the western countries are so obssessed to follow the principle of racial profile in sports, that too with the sub-continent players, there is no wonder about the happening at Amsterdam. everyone would remember after the twintower attack, a sardar was stabbed to death by american, thinking them he was a member of Binladen group. The action taken on IRA people or war-excess by US mariners are never get exposed by the media - either indian or foreign - but anything against either indian or pakistani gets beemed up in all channels. only mother World has to save us.

Hi, I agree the incident in Dutch flight may not be originated from racism. However you showed a different dimension to which a reaction is must.
I stayed abroad for years and saw many ugly locals who never brush their teeth, have bath occassionally and wear same pair of clothes for a week. An average Indian never does this. One remedy the locals had is using utilities such as mouth fresheners, body sprays to cover up their stinking bodies. If I believe the hollywood moveis reflect the true life style, I see people after the intercourse, without bothering about bath, wear their pants and go out to the city.Once again body spray probably help them. Just because they have a color and wealth, we need not blidly degrade outselves. If our food stinks for them, I say their food stinks for me. They eat meat and dont even clean their mouth with water. They use a chewing gum instead. But for decency, I cant talk about some more facts about their habits.
In my experience I see racism in blood of many people with only some decent people. Fortunately everyone follows the law which is quite strong. But within the boundaries of law, they talk very low about us. Best regard
Most of you who have written with a 'patriotic' stance are the same pot bellied belchers burping and farting while standing in those queues at international airports. Why do indians get the treatment they do. Just take a good look at us alongside other nationalities. We are one the most uncouth set, always demanding the best of the world at 5 rs. Shabbily dressed, and those Fluorescent yellow, greens and picking noses, shooting flem, thats after that horrendous buildup that comes right from the stomach. if all that was not enough most of us carry mountains of luggage with all sorts of crap in it. Then its the food we eat. Our food ensures that every pore of our body STINKS, you wont notice till you come out of india as everyone in an around stinks as much! Its true, we are as bad as the jihadis as we try so hard to be that ugly!! Why dont the others dont get profiled? I never thought this way but Ive come to realise that we as a set have amazing shortcomings and these ones are ingrained.
The 12 Indian passengers were deboarded after the plane was escorted by F16 fighters on gorounds of violating the dutch rules. This is incident sets a beautiful precedent. We have the likes of Dawood Ibrahim and his cronies roaming around freely. We also know that they are jet setters flying freely across the world. All we have to do is to keep a tab on him and the moment we get a confirmation that he is flying over the Indian airspace we can ask our Su-30s to escort the plane to one of our airports and there we have our man. Even if the report turns out to be wrong we can always say "Excuse me but we had confirm information that a terrorist was on board". No one would even blink as this is an extended fight against terror.
I think more than the dutch it was irresponsibility of the 12 passengers to behave in such a manner on an foreign airline where already restrictions are in place. Its good that they were Indians that they were released immediately, if they were any other nationals, they would have been detained for a long time.
Its time to adhere to policies and guidelines laid down by the airlines and no one should be allowed to disobey them. In this case I don't think there was a racial profile as all the passengers were allowed in the aircraft after mandatory checks and if they had behaved in a responsible manner like other passengers, they would not have been subjected to this torture.
So all in all, passengers especially from the Asian sub-continent follow the rules laid down by the airlines and avoid unnecessary embarassment to yourself and to your respective countries.
passengers should behave in aircraft. nothing can be taken lightly coz lives of so many r involved what they [ THE CREW N MARSALL on aircraft] did was ABSOLUTELY CORRECT.
