Refrain from drinking or tasting the water as it may be contaminated and dangerous, this is because of heavy down pour of mansoon which affected all the costal region. Should be taken enough precaution by the people and authorities. One should not be credulous believe in miracle.
It's a lot of bull and those who believe it are living in medieval times without the benefit of scientific reasoning. For once, the politicians and BMC, who are doing buggarall, have condemned the so called miracle. It's the BMC and politician's fault if this phenomenon is happenin, thanks to their engineering inefficiency and bribe quotient. The leak needs to be plugged, the jokers driniking "sweet" water shooed away home, and their imbecilic minds made to multi task on sound phenomena and things to do, to make them gasp rather than gawk!
Sir, I totally agree with the MPCB declaration. This is a natural phenomenon of dilution of surface waters in rainy days. I thank MPCB for timely declaration.
The Scientists and experts living in Maharashtra didnt get any readymade material from other countries about to expalin cause of changing salty sea water in plane water. The main cause of this change is geological changes taking place after t-sunami which was result of Afgan war.
People are assuming that the baba have done the miracle of turning the saline water to sweet. Unless the real reason comes in front people can't stop assumptions and blind initiatives.
In such cases false reasons can also be given to stop people from consuming such kind of water.
This is a mere blind faith which can proove fatal for some one who may not resist to the impurity level of that water.
Educated people should take the initiative to alert the public and care for the innocent people.
Government should take fast measures to give clear alerts to public as early as possible.
Should not the BMC be alarmed by its findings at the Mahim beach. They have found that the water is not potable and low in salinity. The explanation for low salinity being proposed is that the ground water could be leaking into the sea via cracks in the rocks in the sea bed. A very plausible explanation. But does the BMC wonder as to why despite such a high content of ground water seeping into the sea water the overall water is not potable? If this is true then how contaminated is the sea water? Should not the BMC be doing something about it?
