India will become Super Power by 2010 without any doubt, but by considering the following :
Please eliminate the beggars from the streets, railway stations and bus stands. Specially small children. Forcefully these small kids should be taken away to the boarding and given primary education. Make them know what is life, what is world, how education will change their life, these are very necessary because today's kids are tomorrow's future. If they are 14 years by now, by 2010 they are eligible matured guys and girls. If they are neglected, then how you expect India to be ahead of all the countries???????????
India some day would become super-power. India should full fill the basic necessities though. Like Water, electricity, food, Shelter & education. People should be accountable of their own activities whether it is good or bad. Then India can go as a rocket (in positive direction). The neighboring countries very well know about this. That is why the they won't allow. Unknowingly we are also stuck in their trap. We need to take very serious action to resolve this, or else we can't come out of this swamp.
Do u guys believe that India can become a super power. I dont think so. I am an Indian . India wil become super power if it stops depending upon others. when the coruption is gone. CORUPTION is wat taking India down..........

There is a famous Telugu dialogue Country constitute of not just mud, it constitute of men. Attitude of the citizens is the first thing to change. Politicians are the worst, no look back in this aspect. But they are just thousandswhat about the rest of the Indian population. Had the rest contributing best, our nation must have improved drastically in these 60 years.
1. Keep our society, public transport, roads clean. Dont pollute air and water. 2. Indulge the western culture of thanks, sorry and hello to everyone. 3. Keep away the senseless western culture like dating & maintain our culture. 4. Restore our identities like Sanskrit, Vedas, Kamasutra, Vedic mathematics. Etc. 5. Banish the cast system byproducts, untouchable and reservation both. 6. Mind ones duty. 7. Encourage sense of humor not hurting others. (Whats the humor in insulting Prophet Mohammed or painting Goddess Saraswathi in nude.) 8. Keep away grudge, jealous, hate, angry, politics, selfish, etc.
Remember its the habits and attitude that brought the man out of monkey. Think in this angle apart from blaming politicians, US, Pak and others. "Don't HUNT what you CAN'T KILL". Jai Hind.
it all depends onto what one expects a superpower to be..?i would say..india is already a superpower.we have more than a billion poeple in our country..though we have one of the world's highest infant mortality rate and feutus killings.if you donot agree to my point, then i suggest you talk to Singapore government which is facing a problem with a low population growth rate and offers incentives to families for every child born...
removal of anti prosperity elements(ape)s,infrastruture development,removal of restritions on economy,limiting the power of govt to outside the economy,religion like in u s ,u k.development of hinduism becouse it gives us tolarance so only we were below other religions for 1298 years(700ad-1998) development of rural economy,get ethonal out of sugarcane.create maximum value to rural raw materials education to rural people ,starting business centres to reduce the initial capital to start the business so more people can start business and create more jobs.rebuilding the constitution making the people its main focus.

SUPERPOWER???? INDIA BY 2010 let me ask two questions what do u really mean by superpower? Is military strenth is enough for becomming superpower? if u really wann a know what is a super power country that is AMERICA. look USA how it influences the world. economically and with armed forces. i never say that india cant become superpower but it has to realise the power in side us, first we have to change our forien policy, we are not in a position to influence BANGLADESH, to whom we gave indepencence. and if influence them to stop inflitration and stop terroist camps in there land. how can we think we can influence pak and look at USA, bombarding afgan, iraq only for there selifish needs, i am not saying that india has to do samething, my point here is to say that when we have enough evidence pak indulged in terroist activities against india we are not in a position to take some tough steps against it, instead we give pak a MOST FAVOURED NATION title, if we really want to become we should have enough guts to take some tough action against any country in the world rather than trying to convinde world to take action on them.

This is a good initiative by rediff, atleast people can give idea what they thik in this regard..
First of all if we want to make india superpower then we need to change the mentality of this kind of people who thinks that this is a joke. Once get rid of this kind of mentality then i am sure that no buddy can stop us to become super power in the world.
