Re: Bail-ed out!!
by Kunal Tripathi on Apr 18, 2006 08:48 PM  Permalink

for some reason over the past couple of year...how come every person accused and/or on trial end up getting a bail.

It would be great if rediff could write a article on the criteria on which courts are issuiing bails.

Shouldn't the courts understand that half of these people are going to run away from the country. Case in point Nadeem from Nadeem-Shravan fame.

It's a shame to hear that anybody committing a crime is given a bail. As a society we need to be more strict about such policies and the courts will not change the policy till we, the society, do something about it.

Jessica
by partha biswas on Apr 18, 2006 01:34 PM  Permalink

While it is worthwhile to note that Delhi police has re-opened the case, ultimately justice has to be meted.
SOMEONE had shot Jessica. And that someone has manipulated witnesses, evidence, facts and authorities,
possibly being in a postion to do so.It should not be that all this excercise is being done, the matter is prolonged to no end, just to exonorate the possible guilty person/persons.Because the persons involved,
including the previous handlers from the side of law enforcing agency,WILL go all out to prove that the previous investigation was done truthfully!!!
