Obviously! There are lot of phenomen regarding this. 1. It is the source of earning 2. It is the source of Entertain 3. It is the source of Stress management 4. Body Excercise 5. If a five star hotel have this facility then any hotels can adopt this and so on..
It is a bread and butter for some people. It is not bad until or unless obscenity is involved. When more obscene performances are passed by censor board in films nobody raises objection.Be it water or Girl friend. Then what right we have to d injustice with the poor gals. Secondly If the govt is really serious then they should take some reformatory steps to re-establish the Bar Girls.which the govt did not do forcing the girls to enter into flesh trade as reported by Media.
Infact I feel this culture is not bad. This culture has been practised in our ancient history by Raja and Maharajas. It is only the time that is coming back. These things are common in west are they anyway rated more in CRIME like Rape etc.NO..
We need to think over it and take a corrective redecision.
Once, late BabuRao Patel, Editor of Mother India, succintly said that legalised and clinically certified prostituion centres shouald be allowed so that society women can walk safely on the streets of India. The same fact holds good for Dance Bars also with sex maniacs , particularly among the upper economic class multiplying by leaps and bounds. With dance bars and certified prosptitions aroud, these maniacs will find an outlet to a large extent if not fully. In fact, women's movement should canvass for well and legalised but wel regulated bars, night clubs etc
The ruling of the high court is quite a shock and hope that the Supreme Court squashes this menace once for all.
In the worst case scenario, if the dance bars are allowed, the government should demarcate them to operate in a certain area only i.e. maybe the outskirts of Mumbai and not within the city.
I am really worried, as the area where I stay, there was one dance bar operating, which was in a residential premises.
Even after sending many petitions, requests to the media, police and politicians, this bar was operating right on the main road in a residential building.
Mumbai is really becoming a horrid place to live in!
Bar dance is a gentle form of satiating the sex drives of a sizeable portion of the city dwellers. Sex is nothing but the most vital form of life. Indians, in general, are hyprocrates and they want to show that they are "good samaritans" by trying to stop the activities which they want to do at heart. This is the Indian dilemma. We do observe this contradiction right in our PURANAS and thoughout our "great cultures". The fulfilment of sex drive is of prime consideration of the mass and the country and States should enact appropriate laws for enforcing strict licencing and conduct rules rather than banning the same.
Dear Sir, Whether to allow dance bars is not so critical issue. Unnecessary people waste time in blog and debate. Mr RR Patil banned dance bar. HC of india lift bann for prosparity of those poor (TOI says they earn min 10K to 1.5 Lacks per month dated 13 Apr 06) illiterate (there are 50% graduate girls even tarannum etc speaks english fluently) beautifull girls (no objection from me this time). I object HC decision since why cannt they lift reservation for minorities (which constitues more than 65% of indian population). I agree reservation for them in gov jobs and schools. But certainly no reservations in any of colleges and higher education. HC's desicion looks faulty since bar girls have more waigtage than real talent (deserving upper cast candidates). Is HC falls below indian constitution? if yes then uppercast is helpless. If reservations not removed then india will fall down exponencially in global market and in sake of it gov realises that afterwords and lift reservation then there will be violent riotes. Since many of lower cast people feels that reservation is not support but their birth right to grab opportunity without doing any kind of work. Debate is endless...
