Your conclusions cant be based on such incidents which happen at times when people lose their logic and mind.Can u say it happens only to muslims you are mistaken.your experience may happen to a hindu or a sikh or to anyone.
A good piece of writing. However, I would like to cite my experience which were rather different as compared to yers, sir. Ihave been living outside India ALL MY LIFE except for these last three years - and am quite a susceptible guinea pig for the anti-social elements here in India, generally speaking. However, when I started off with my undergrad studies (in New Delhi), and was looking for a temporary guest house (till I get set and start living in my own house), I lived with a Hindu family in a Hindu colony - and faced no frowns whatsoever - and the family isn't too affluent/upstate kind-they're shop-owners!
New Delhi is a truly urbanized experience I must say now!
Its not always that a person finds a house at the place he wishes, you might find a better house in Muslim locality and you may be happy and finding a house with hindus like us may be painfull.
I have stayed with next door Muslims in their locality, it was a very good experience may be because I belong to J&K and their culture is more or less like us.
Everyone likes like minded definately for a veggy a non veg is something unbearable the smell makes you go hayware. Vice versa for a non veg adjusting with veggy may be difficult though no impossible.
Come on if you dont have new stuff or interestings to sell to people tell me i will give you some ideas , but dont instigate some bad feelings based on religion.I know religion sells but there are other good things to look about. rediff should not be a dump house for some religious sentiments...wake up ..
its not a national news that adds values but indeed it degrades the nation. what is the point in placing in the head lines. I felt these kind of columns or blogs would provoke the people. Its unnecessary to create tensions.
