mumbai blast after ayodhya demolition, changed the out look and thinking of society.every people must respect the faith and believe of others. Cow is worshiped by hindu and slaughtered by muslims, how you expect harmony?hindus treat the sikh, jain and budhist as there own blood.even dont have any discriminating feeling about christian, jew and parsi.instead of showing hindus down, muslim society should think to make changes within themself. Muslims are fighting with jew, christians, hindu and even with budhist.have you thovght why most of the terrorist outfits are run by muslim?better introspect and do something to change the out look of your society.hindu including sikh and jain are more liberal and accomodating than muslims.
To take a position for or against would be easy to do but then it brings one or the other community under a cloud. Like there are many other predominantly Hindu societies that would have no objections to a Muslim family staying alongside them. But then again there are experiences. I once went househunting and the house belonged to a Muslim. I asked the family why they wanted to leave as the society apparently was cosmopolitan and very hesitatingly the reply came that they felt unsafe! Then again I have seen vegetarians professing more 'vegetarianism' than the others even to the extent of defining the sub-caste (high in some sense they felt) they belonged to while of course running down somebody else. And so it goes. I believe liberation of the mind is yet to dawn upon the so called educated and or middle class of this beloved country of ours and until then; we wait.
Not all Hindus are violent. So also not all Muslims or Christians are violent. There is a element of Tolerance, concern and love in one and all! It is really pathetic that in the name of religion or politics or communal feelings men opt to kill each other. Such mob spirit is an influence of the Evil powers that torment people of all religions. Further, there is no place where there is security, live alone taking refuge in the one almighty God. If only with no prejudice one enjoys the freedom to read any religious Book, peacefully support any Government to power, making the most of the Freedom got from the British, any place in India would be a safe. Atleast the British left behind a good infrastructure for us. Unfortunately, the fundamental groups like RSS/VHP have taken a dignified form of Naxalite spirit or the unpleasant Britisher's spirit in terrorising the people of other faith, influencing even the good Hindu citizens to fulfill their inhuman agenda. It is sad that these friends are behind making this Hindustan a unsafe place to live in, much against the principles of Ahimsa which Mahatma Gandhi taught having learnt the same from the teachings of Jesus in the Holy Bible.
What is his problem??? - the gentleman decides to shun Hindus for umpteen years, condescends to live with them, only because he cannot find a house in a Muslim locality and plays the 'Muslims don't belong' card at the first refusal!
Not justifying the Kandivili guys, but neighbourhoods are, traditionally, established arounf socio-cultural or religious groupings. It is not always a question of discrimination or fundamentalism.
Also- considering most of the flats are sold directly by the builders and neighbours first meet each other on shifting day, I cannot really visualize this happening. If it did, they are just a small bunch of bigots and it is unfair to tar the entire religion.
By the way, I live in a multi-cultural housing complex with a fair no. of Muslims. Even more importantly, I have been told to stay off a Muslim dominated complex in the past.
Am I going to cry that Muslims are trying to kick us off our own country??? Nah!
she got married to a Bramhin boy ,who affectionately took his grand fathere's tittle. being a poet the grand father got the tittle"Musafir". after marriage when my son-in-law searched for a flat in Delhi, all the landlords of hindu locality asked him whether he is a musilm or hindu . he had to prove that he really is a hindu .
it is a shame for us ,who live in a secular country.
