What is his problem??? - the gentleman decides to shun Hindus for umpteen years, condescends to live with them, only because he cannot find a house in a Muslim locality and plays the 'Muslims don't belong' card at the first refusal!
Not justifying the Kandivili guys, but neighbourhoods are, traditionally, established arounf socio-cultural or religious groupings. It is not always a question of discrimination or fundamentalism.
Also- considering most of the flats are sold directly by the builders and neighbours first meet each other on shifting day, I cannot really visualize this happening. If it did, they are just a small bunch of bigots and it is unfair to tar the entire religion.
By the way, I live in a multi-cultural housing complex with a fair no. of Muslims. Even more importantly, I have been told to stay off a Muslim dominated complex in the past.
Am I going to cry that Muslims are trying to kick us off our own country??? Nah!
