Dissaponting
by Rams on Oct 30, 2005 11:42 AM  Permalink

It's dissapointing that Raman tries to link the Iran policy of the GOI with the blasts. One would expect somebody from the left to talk like this, not an ex-intelligence official. This is not the time to intellectualize, it's time for appropriate action. It's quite shocking to find even intelligence officials are so weak kneed in our country.

His statement about LET recruiting Indian muslims is true then, it means that the whole hype about A.R.Rahman, Abdul Kalam, Sania Mirza, Irfan Pathan being symbols of national integration is lot of humbug. Apparently the real muslims are a community about which the English educated cityslickers are absolutely clueless!

Factual Errors
by Mohammed Shahid on Oct 30, 2005 11:14 AM  Permalink

Wasnt quite expecting it from Mr. Raman, but seems to me there are a few factual errors he's made.

'Al-Quds' is Arabic for Jerusalem and there's no Muslim event by that name, as Raman seems to suggest. The last Friday of Ramadan is properly called 'Jamiat-ul-vidaa'.

Admittedly though, it is an Iranian (post-Khomeini) tradition (and not a worldwide phenomenon) to commemorate the day as 'Al-Quds Day'. Perhaps Raman is confusing the Palestinian day called An-Naqba with Al-Quds.

regards,

shahid.

B-Raman - You are Not correct
by boogywoogy on Oct 30, 2005 11:12 AM  Permalink

Mr Raman,

You are talking about a country who is just NOT able to catch a big theif called \"Davood Ibrahim\"

You are too soft cornered to allow Jaish-LET leaders to escape and Leave a Happy life in POK.

You even allow your own RAW top nrass to spy and escape to USA as they wish

You know your rule allow Spy NGO\'s to act for Terrorists for pardons-law concessiosn etc etc

So you dont have a catching mechanism and you know until and unless PAK is totally disabled this will continuee in future...

So simply dont boast,Just dont win Muslim Votes as a Muslim I am saying we are with INDIA but you shud show the Male behaviour else it will keep on blasting..Because its simply easy to put a Bomb in a market Place

A right strategy is simply to - Retaliae which You DONT HAVE THE GUTS

Bharat Mahan!!

spineless message
by Dr. N. Navinkumar on Oct 30, 2005 11:12 AM  Permalink

Mr. Raman,

Thats one spineless message you give. Now we allow terror to dictate our policies? So what if we have in our midst Muslims. Do we back off from supportive friends? Even Pakistan is chockful of Muslims, so did the General back off, at least they are consistent in their policies towards the U.S. So once they bomb us, we start flapping our hands and wail its because of our foreign policy tilt? Its time to go hell for leather as Israel does after these blood thirsty bandits. Terror as the Hagun or IRA did at least had more meaning and less innocent blood than the sensless slayings of the cowardly Jehadis.

Re: Re: Message from the Delhi blasts
by SC on Oct 30, 2005 11:05 AM  Permalink

It seems from you article that in your beliefs and comments, you are as confused as the Communists in India today!

India has never been out of the radar of Islamic Fundamentalist terrorism. This (the Delhi blasts) is just another example to show we are still vulnerable. Your argument, or somewhat vague & confused suggestion, that India's vote against Iran may have prompted the attacks is both flawed and cowardly. India as a nation does not need to adjust it's policies for fear of 'reaction' from terrorists. We do not need to rethink our policy decisions as a reaction to terrorist attacks. Then we as a nation are not strong enough.

Of course we need to react and think ahead regarding internatoinal liaisions, and decide what is best for 'us' (meaning 'India' and not 'US'), and not what is best for our neighbours or some lawless terrorist outfit.

A pity that such thoughts come out and are expressed openly after such heinous crimes are committed by terrorists!

The Only message from the Delhi Blasts
by PARIMAL on Oct 30, 2005 10:23 AM  Permalink

It is very much obvious from the attitude of Pakistan govt, by not allowing Indian Army's Helicopters and other aid for the recent quake victims in POK, that they have the terrorist training camps in POK. It is high time that now Indian Army flushes out & destroys the terrorist camps in POK and inside Pakistan on the other side of the LOC/International border. By not responding strongly to such dastardly acts (earlier attacks on Swaminarayan temple, then on the Parliament and also the Mumbai / J&K Blasts), Govt of India is giving out signals that it is lacking courage and initative to act boldly and also that it is incompetent to protect the common citizen in India, that too in the capital city of New Delhi. If India does not take very strong steps against the terrorists now, the whole world will confirm its opinion that Indian policy makers and leaders are impotent and irresponsible for the common Indians and are only concerned for protecting their power seats and promoting nepotism, corruption & inaction for their own vested interests.

INDIA donot need coward people like you Mr. Raman
by INDIAN on Oct 30, 2005 10:21 AM  Permalink

It is people like you which are instrumental in bringing fear of terrorists among brave people of INDIA. What do you mean to say if INDIAN subcontinent holds world's 45% muslim population then we should surrender before them? And lose our diginty ?

No Mr. Raman, I am (and i beleive my INDIAN fellows) not in favour of shaping INDIAN policies under the fear of muslims . We are warrior Mr Raman, we can defend ourselves and our motherland from any muslim aggression. So do not try to write these type of coward articles in future. If you cannot fight you can sit back at home doing nothing but donot spread fear if terrorists among brave people of INDIA.
