Sad and abominal indeed that Deve Gowda a non=entity who became PM by luck due to aaya ram gaya raam politics of today, tries to air - nay, gas out of his foul mouth; and SNKrishna rehabilitated by Cong with job seeks to interfere and comment indiscreetly on local politics of Karnataka; he should not have accepted the post if he wanted to such things; our folks in ruling position have lost all sense of ethics and serve selfish ends only PITY Smani
A bunch of jokers are ruining Bangalore. The decline much more rapid than the rate at which it came up. Potholes are everywhere, in every road, in every street. BDA is "digging bangalore beyond dreams". Roads had been dug up for cables or by BWSSB within few days after it was tarred and repaired. Bannerghatta road is taking ages to complete. footpaths and dividers are being built and subsequently broken. How can the planning be so lopsided. The very first rain after the road laying work create pot holes. How can the quality of work be so abysymal? Road are bursting. It takes hours to commute to and from from electronics city by the Hosur Road. How can a rain water drain run through the middle of road, along the entire length of Hosur road from Silk board and Electronic city????How can civic planning so pathetic.Above all how can the citizens sit back and endure the fast detoriation of the city and its political leaders engage in mindless blame game and some kannadiga jokers raise slogan that IT companies like Infosys should reserve seat for Kannadigas. The cosmopolitan city is fast loosing its tolerance.Increasing friction between local kannadigas and outsiders is causing bitterness
When u are given a opportunity to criticize we all shout at the top of our voices..its human nature i guess..even i have done this .i see so many people commenting on T.V.R 's mistake abt addressing gowda as JDU president instead of JDS. that doesnt change the person , does it...he is still the same old gowda whom we have seen on national newspapers' frontpages taking naps in important meetings during his regime as prime minister of INDIA..I dont know how wrong gowda is or how wrong his politics is ,its true someone in this board said that no gowda or krishna can do much in the progress of a city like bangalore..it hurts to see that bangalore has still not earned the reputation of a city that levels mumbai or delhi in all aspects.my point may not be relevant to the main agenda going on here , but i feel for a government to change , firstly we need to change.we need to change our routine of breaking laws, offering bribes, neglecting rules.for i have a strong feeling that to uphold bangalore in high esteem , a revolution is needed , and revolution is agitated by one simple doing , " a change ". hope we change...yep ,i too feel like i had been holding the mic all this time.
I started reading the column 'Decline of Bangalore' with Himalayan expectation that Mr.TVR Shenoy is putting forth the problems faced by Bangalore and Bangaloreans. But it adds to my curiosity on the third rated columns in Rediff like this one and 'Dare to kiss in Chennai' (Author forgotten).
Taking 'Decline of Bangalore', the author addresses Mr.HDDeve Gowda as the President of Janata Dal (United). He is the President of JD(Secular). I dont know how capable he is but was surprised to see such such errors appearing in Rediff. Bihar would have been well administered but one should note that the electorate was illiterate and had a suppressed society. Karnataka is not. Let the author find solace in this.
Secondly, considering, 'Dare to Kiss in Chennai', I was surprised to find biased, irresponsible comments appearing about 'in'discipline in the city. Though I personally oppose dress codes and irresponsible Police action, there is no doubt that discipline should be maintained. After all India has its Southern Tip named in Tamil as 'Virgin Girl'.
Rediff should take responsibility in filtering the biased columns.
Its sad that Narayan murthy has resigned. Please note that he had also made this intention clear earlier than Deve Gowda's comments. Moreover, I feel Mr. Murthy's resignation is a little premature. He should have carried on even when people talk. In a free country people do talk and serious pros like Mr. Murthy should not have resigned but should have made his work talk to the world. If Deve Gowda has concerns then let people in resposible positions answer him. Remember it is the same Deve Gowda and Janata Dal which made IT happen in Bangalore and not Mr.Krishna. All the land, tax holidays,ITPL, sops to IT was provided by Janata Dal and not Krishna. He only came in later. Lakshman
I really do not know what the congress high command is doing in such a crisis. CM is saying that still companies are coming to Bangalore, so there is nothing to worry. But please understand that the companies coming today must have evaluated Bangalore as destination some while ago. If they rethink and started evaluating the present situation Bangalore has, write it down, nobody will ever dare to set up shop in Bangalore.
Please wake up and let us not disintegrate Bangalore as Bihar.
