Decline of Bangalore
by Revathy Vimalan on Oct 21, 2005 07:28 PM

Dear Rediff,

I started reading the column 'Decline of Bangalore' with Himalayan expectation that Mr.TVR Shenoy is putting forth the problems faced by Bangalore and Bangaloreans. But it adds to my curiosity on the third rated columns in Rediff like this one and 'Dare to kiss in Chennai' (Author forgotten).

Taking 'Decline of Bangalore', the author addresses Mr.HDDeve Gowda as the President of Janata Dal (United). He is the President of JD(Secular). I dont know how capable he is but was surprised to see such such errors appearing in Rediff. Bihar would have been well administered but one should note that the electorate was illiterate and had a suppressed society. Karnataka is not. Let the author find solace in this.

Secondly, considering, 'Dare to Kiss in Chennai', I was surprised to find biased, irresponsible comments appearing about 'in'discipline in the city. Though I personally oppose dress codes and irresponsible Police action, there is no doubt that discipline should be maintained. After all India has its Southern Tip named in Tamil as 'Virgin Girl'.

Rediff should take responsibility in filtering the biased columns.

Vimal
