Shobha has gone too far in imagination; she is highly egotist and exaggerates a lot ! Yes, must oberve decency in public at all times; even abroad, such rules exist eg Italy- kissing in beach is offence! So called US free culture also imposes some restrictions. Each country each place according to the societal norms of the day - there is no doubt times have changed a lot and so is freedom in the colleges but to wear skin tight jeans like film heroines and make a show of breasts is uncalled for. Sure distracts attention; in our days, segreatation practised - not today - develop healthy attitudes towards all cusstoms and allow them to change in due course; dont force your views. Shobha is the least qualified to comment on the subject; May balance prevail !! Peayen mani
I am not against personal freedom, but against those who will shy away from what is right. I personally cannot see a movie with my parents when there are inimate scenes or even a smooch. I have to use the loo So there how can I do something in public when I canot do it in from of my parents. Lets not come under pressure from the so called broad minded and those who call names to ones who believe that smooching in public is ok. Its become a fashion to bash those who speak of the Indian culture.
Dear Shoba, Please dont take media exaggeration seriously. There are some Political drama is been staging in Chennai recntly.. Thanks to Upcoming election & self- advertisement Policies of Politicians..
Yes There are restrictions in some colleges. But Execeptions cannot be taken as Examples..
First of all the last part is a fantastic imagination......of poor taste. Come on dont be so kiddish in accusing some one. The youth, while critising someone really cross barriers. Please hold on. Show your creativity some where else. This is news column and lets have some decency. (This is the problem we dont know where to talk what)
There are appropriate places for some particular things and particular times (age). Couple can do whatever they want as long as they do it in the confines of their homes. Civilisation is about knowing where to do what. The guys and girls have got it all wrong and keep cribbing in the name of moral policing. Nonsense.
We are human beings and not animals. The youth is trying to ape the west and try to justify all that they do in the name of confounded fashion and modernity.
And the youth does not have any right to talk about our prestine culture. I have worked in an engineering college in chennai and i know how the students get so engrossed in all things apart from studying. They think the college drive-way is some modelling ramp. Hey kids, concentrate on your studies and get a good name for your family.
This has published after seeing the picture "Anniyan [Tamil]" and "Aparichitudu [Telugu]".
In the above article, all are fine to some extent. But the last one is very very worst. I can say immoral/insecure situation.
Anyway, if atleast some of the scenes are started implementing, our Indian culture will remains with us.
Otherwise, already many IT folks have started disposing our Indian Traditions. Even if it continues for couple of years,Indians culture will become as western culture.
Now a days,Foriegn people are very much attacting to Indian culture. At the same time vice versa.
But It will give a bad remark to India.
In the above article, the class room scene is very very good. If you started giving chance to make some indulgence,it will keep enhancing only. No more stops for these types.
We can do ban on the Public places, Dance bars and Colleges.
Mostly I can say need to ban every individual point in IT industries. People are learning from them most cases.
Do ban first in IT industry. So that the culture remains with us.
Any way, hope our Indian culture remains there as long as the humanity is there with us.
