He can throw light on this. Thereafter, we can decide on who are indulging in hypocrisy and who are talking straight? If it is proved that there has been an increase in these diseases, one has to conclude that these devices have failed and the purpose has been defeated. If the diseases are widely prevalent despite these devices, are they not an indication of immorality? The responsibility is of both the sexes. Hiding the truth is hypocrisy. Theory is okay. What about the practice?
What on earth is wrong with the people in this state? If it is individual comments,it is ok.But,why should they comment upon the tamil community and other is as if safeguarding the whole tamil community she comes for it and apologize on behalf of it.That is too much.
So now adults cannot make their own decisions about what to say on an interview. What is wrong with pre-marital sex. Some people perceive it wrong while some others don't. My goodness, have we lost our freedom to express our own opinions. There is nothing wrong with what Kushboo said because it was her individual opinion. This just shows how backward and intolerant some people can be about another person's viewpoint. Its always been the same. Someone trying to culturally police another person because they don't agree on something as trivial as pre-marital sex. Now think about this, if the discussion involved men and pre-marital sex would a men's body file a suit against the man who supported it. Ridiculous.
the whole controversy shows once again the sheer hypocrisy of our society. Since when have the dalit organizations taken upon the brahnimical morality about sex and taboo, and what is this talk about dignity of tamil women? do they not know who their current chief minister is? and the most laughable reaction has come from the chief minister herself calling khushboo's comment unfortunate! unfortunate indeed.....LOL khushboo is right,if we do not realise the importance of her message we shall soon become a country of AIDs infested moralists.

I completely find it strange that you see comments to be emotional and you are asking (me) to be rational! If Kushbo had freedom to say something others also definitely have freedom to say what they feel about it. Its very important for those celebrities to be careful in their moves. A statement by such people amounts to promotion of ideas. People have rights to register their protest peacefully.
We can not tolerate the promotion of self indulgence in the name liberalism, progressive approach to life and freedom of expression. What is irrational about this! A balanced life is a grand and dynamic mixture of liberalism and conservatism.

I pity Kushboo and Suhasini for trying to tie the bell ....

I agree. This is a non issue. Let the protestors listen to what the politicians talk in the stages! So vulgar, so nasty and they go scott free! I do not think Kushboo specifically said "Tamil women" in her statement.
Above all, the TV serial KANAVARUKKAAKA (SUN TV) depicts two husbands (one legally wedded and one by pre marital relationship) as well as two wives active and alive! Where is Tamil culture and these TAMIL PROTECTORS????

I am sitting few miles away from Rome and telling you this. What Kushbu said is wrong. Sexuality in the west has caused an irrivocable damages to the relationships and one can see lot of unmarried guys at 40 and many fatherless kids. There are hell lot of kids missing either father or mother. Sex is a substance that nature has created to strengthn relationships and for reproduction. And pleasure is a bonus for contributing to reproduction and not vice-versa. Let us not spoil our socity with one more evil from the west in the name of being progressive and liberal, the most abused terms these days. Today anything agaist tradition is fashionable and making comment against it gives a brand of an intelectual. Careless beeing is not liberlism. Any act against tradition and culture should be logical and should be of advantage. If its so then that is liberlism. Unfortunatly those who can not control themselves are being called progressive minded. Self restaint is the cost that we have to pay for the social hormony and happy life. Its true that issue does not deserve attention of this magnitude.

These men who condemn these two women in the name of Tamil and Tamil culture are male chauvanists.Are we living in free India ? Protestations all over with brooms and slippers ,burning the effigy is an ugly scene.Are we living in civilised India? When will all this "much ado about nothing" come to a halt?

Lets us put our emotions aside and talk about this issue. What Kusboo said is her perogative, I dont have a say and you dont have a say in it. She is not telling (pls note there is a diffence between telling, asking and expressing) my sister or my daughter or any one, its her view, she is expressing. Its upto you to take that view, she is not forcing it on you, its her right to express her opinion.
Why do we have plane crashes inspite of having so many safety measures. Are u preaching not to fly to avoid crashes?. Even, well laid out plans have their flaws. When something is going wrong or about to go wrong take necessary measures is all she said. The same thing goes to society and humans. We live in a civilized world and I dont want my clan to take chappals and brooms to express their feelings (which are again politically manipulated). If you are so much concerned about society, teach them how to express anger (not this way). Society doesnt hold a marriage tight, the people involved should find how to keep it tight. Please understand this problem exists in our society and we have to address it rationally not emotionally. Thanks.

A look at any Tamil serial ,will reveal the so called Tamil Pan Paadu ( culture).In all the serials atleast ONE male charachter has an illicit relation, an unwed mother etc & the songs in all the films have detoriated with sick ,lousy & double meaning lyrics.
Those who are objecting to her comments should take a long walk in Marina.
