I agree with author's view on this matter. Most of the cases we indians (or say hindus) are devided among ourselves that our representation becomes weak. And over the time someone else will use it to disintegrate our root. Wake up my beloved contrymen, keep our differences at home and show a soliderity and unified india to the world.
I think the author was completely out of his minds when he wrote this artcle. I read this article and I cant see any logic or connection. If the so called indian backstabbers were so particular in humiliating an indian leader purely based on religious beleifs and went out of the way to lobby against Modi to enter the US then the same people could have done that to any BJP leader who visited the US in the last couple of years. Does the author really beleive that the christian Indian-americans would have lobbied against vajpayee in the same manner they did against Modi. Infact Vajpayee was the PM at the time of the riots and failed to act which can be argued as a good reason to deny him entry into the US. I agree all the leaders during riots maynot have thier names in the NHR commision as accused but in this case the author seems to make head and tails out of thin air. Don't get me wrong, I do not support Modi or his policies of hindutva, I think we are unnecessarily giving him the importance that he doesn't deserve. The US denied him Visa based on thier own judgement and thats that. lets not make it into a "war of the democracies" issue.
The point which u are referring to from the US point of view but if it were from Indian point of view, what would that BE? US claims the Denial is made on the basis of the NHRC report on Gujarat Riots 2002.

(a)Modi,because of his rabid communalism,is already hated by majority of Indians,but hypocrites like Bajpayee/Advani/Fernandes/RSS/VHP/Shiv Sena etc.avoided taking any action against him.The US did under its laws and rules.Other countries may also follow suit.(b)Modi has brought shame to this country.He cannot continue to call himself an Indian. His talks of India`s Constitution, Gujarat swabhimaan etc. are laughable.The US is issuing thousands of visas to Indian students, professionals,other visitors on a daily basis, and is fully honouring our Constitution - Modi is lying as usual.(c)Indira Gandhi,our most honoured PM enjoying MP-support BJP/NDA cannot ever dream of was assassinated by her body guards belonging to Sikh community.Even if Bajpayee were to be so attacked by those guards, people would perhaps have reacted, though wrongly, with violence of the same ferocity. That was truly unfortunate but it was entirely different from Modi`s pogrom. It is foolish and misleading to draw a parallel between Gujarat pogrom orchestrated by Modi and the 1984 riots, and all Indians know that.(d)Let our law in India punish such guilty people first before expecting any respect abroad.
