should we blame ISI or RAW or ourselves...?
by Mukesh Kumar on Jun 08, 2005 10:48 PM  Permalink

I want to repeat the same old thing - how many times we want to blame ISI. There are so many carbonic process type realization taking place among different leaders. Advani is just one of them. Over dose of flattery OR old age OR life experience OR something else led Advani to make such statements. Some one Pakistan side might have a feeling that Mussharaf is praising Indias a lot specially BJP - is it a plot from RAW? I get lost in collecting thoughts how to help in this situation. Irrespective of this being a plot of ISI or RAW, we should not diffuse the real subject matter of discussion. My QUESTION is - why we behave in such imatured way after so much of life experience - this is kind of breaking point for Advani. In general, every society has got different category of man/woman - they are smart/confident, average/okay and weak/unsure. Advani's reaction to this situation puts him in one of the above catogry. Different people will have different opinion - but this is Indian culture - we break very fast. This Indian culture is inherited from Hindu culture - who glorifies themselves as loosers (in their words sacrifice). This is really very unfortunate for India.

I used to think Advani as a nationalist. But now I think in his desperation to become PM he has gone out of his mind. This is what can be called Indian politics's great fall. In his bid to become PM he even for got the wishes of his supporters. He threw in to trash the beleif and the values on which BJP was founded. I think he should apologize to the people of India for this grave blunder he has commited.

about controversial statement by Advaani
by apoorv shukla on Jun 08, 2005 10:20 PM  Permalink

i think that the subject should be treated more tenderly and prudently. i don't think that the questions as whether Jinnah was seculer or not are more important than what we are going to offer our next generation and what are our goals. its a good time to start a debate whether we want a prosperous and happy BHARAT or that so called Akhand BHARAT.will that increasing hostility and widening gap batween india and pakistan not serve the puspose of the other nations who don't want us to be happy and prosperous.there is no doubt thatcalling jinnah a seculeristis one of the most nonsense thing uttered by Advaani.but by making mountain on such molehill ai'nt we backing up the extrimists and verifying their goals.its a time to see towards future and enabling our nation to contest successfully with our fundamental problems as poverty, education, health and population so that we can dream of a good future for our forthcoming generation than we have, instead of being nostalgic and living in fools paradise.

You have hit the bulls eye
by Ashok Kumar on Jun 08, 2005 10:17 PM  Permalink

The Hindu Community remains as much confused today as it was when Buddhism and later Islam and lastly Christianity asserted themselves. The Hindus lack self esteem and character and their only redemption has been extraordinary intellectuals who have been born time again to salvage the community. Advani has proved that he is a mere mortal and no one who can be termed as a Hindu Statesman. You have hit the bulls eye in your article and I compliment you on it. The only point you have missed is that not only Musharraf but many Muslim Leaders in India are also have large peg of scotch and celebrating this confusion in the Hindu rank and profile.
