A revolution in India education
by Ravindra Y.P on Jul 29, 2005 03:15 PM  Permalink

It is an excellent step towards Indian rural education
improvement. If it reaches the whole rural villages
then definitely we all move a mile. Being the second
populated country in the world need to be the second
place in world economy too. I found this is the
first step in improving our country's wealth. Thanks
to those who directly or indirectly contributed to
this project. I beg to all our politicians 'please
don't use this project for making money for your
party',let every body in the country be in the same
page and learn more, educate our self to make our country rich.

We have come a long way in education..
by Adarsh Nair on Jul 29, 2005 11:17 AM  Permalink

I grew up in the days of Doordarshan's afternoon transmission of quality UGC programs. They were real quality pragrams with only a few rukawat ke liye khed hai.

We now have whiteboards with colored markers replacing the chalk and blackboards for the privileged ones. The launch of virtual classes through Edusat in elementary education would level this disparity in education.

Regular schools could also merge their curriculum with the edusat session by making their working days to 5-day a week and Saturdays being dedicated to kids learning from home thru the edusat. Edusat programs could also dedicate their Saturdays session to school kids and take up sessions that would assist the kids in their regular curriculum this could go a long way in integrating the schools across the country.

Government should ensure that all schools that come under the MPs Constituency has the required infrastructure for edusat education they can use MP's fund for this effort.

UGC, IGNOU and Doordarshan have been pioneer in the spread to education in the country now with the availabily of service like edusat more NGOs and Private institutions should participate in the evangelism.

Information about seeing it in the TV
by C.R. Ratheesan on Jul 29, 2005 10:09 AM  Permalink

I would like to thanks the President and all hardworking professionals to help the society who cannot afford to pay much for books and highly professioned schools.

My queries are my dauther is studying in a government school (Class XIII) under West Bengal Board.

I would like to avail the facility of seeing the lectures and other valuable guidance being provided by various reputed schools for my daughter.

Whether buying the low-cost atena will help me to avail this facility and in that case where it will be available and how it can be installed.

Whether the it is possible to see in regional languages (Bengali).

Your valued reply to this mail is eagerly awaited.

With thanks and regards,

A revolution in India Education
by Mr. P.J.LAKHAPATE on Jul 29, 2005 09:54 AM  Permalink

This is a good article.

Thanks to President Abdul Kalam for taking initiative
in installing EDUSAT.

These educational programs should be available (free)on separate Educational channel on TV. This channel shall run on sponsorship of various big organisations whose turnover is beyond certain limit rather than collecting separate education cess from common man.

These lectures/articles should be also available
on internet where data can be preserved.
Many retired professionals will be ready to contribute from their residence.

Further number of prizes should be alloted on Quiz related to any kind of education which government want to spread.

We congratulate Kerala State Govt for starting this revolutioned education. Now other states must start this activity. The central government should give time bound targets for implementing this.

This tool will be very useful in implementing Disaster Management.
