The congress has to be blamed for wat happened in 1984. If not then BJP should not also be blamed for wat happened in Gujarat.

These are communal violence against a group of community. These people wat to gain votes. And I thing the congress in the greediest of all. Now there is one rule for congress and another for others. This is not fair people should understand these and vote accordingly.

Mockery of the democracy
by ashish on Jan 28, 2005 09:54 AM  Permalink

It is the mocery of the democracy that the party in power are able to force the commission report according to there need.

On one side that Congress are blaming BJP govt in gujarat for Godhra riots while not taking blame for the sikh riots in the Delhi.

They are generating the reports at the time which suits them.

Why Not
by aman on Jan 28, 2005 09:52 AM  Permalink

They are the one who killed so many Sikhs. Was that right?

Rajiv stated that time "when a tree falls, earth shakes". Was that right?

First report on Godhra and now 1984. Same agenda. Anti Hindu and Sikhs. Is it right?

Who Supported Bhindranwala?

A drop of poison in a pot of milk

A drop of poison in a pot of milk is enough to render the milk poisonous. You cannot say, it is only the cyanide molecules that are deadly, the milk as a whole is good. However, let us wait for the whole report before passing judgment.

Bad Apple or Curate's Egg?
by Dr T S Raman on Jan 28, 2005 09:36 AM  Permalink

Is it a matter of percentages? Say, 1 per cent of people in a group are "bad", but the group doesn't try to get rid of them: can you hold the group blameless? Or, if 90 per cent are "bad", does it matter whether there is an attempt to get rid of the bad people? In the first instance, if the 1 per cent consist of the leadership of the party, what would be your assessment of the party as a whole?
Or, is a political party like the Curate's Egg, and one should declare, like the "timid" curate, "I assure you that parts of it are excellent!"
We have to wait for the full report to be made public before coming to any conclusion.

Even if commision says that they are responsible what the hell will our judicial system do. Saying party is not responsible has saved lot of paperwork and futile manhours and this environmental friendly investigation should be nominated for noble peace prize.
