Is it a matter of percentages? Say, 1 per cent of people in a group are "bad", but the group doesn't try to get rid of them: can you hold the group blameless? Or, if 90 per cent are "bad", does it matter whether there is an attempt to get rid of the bad people? In the first instance, if the 1 per cent consist of the leadership of the party, what would be your assessment of the party as a whole? Or, is a political party like the Curate's Egg, and one should declare, like the "timid" curate, "I assure you that parts of it are excellent!" We have to wait for the full report to be made public before coming to any conclusion.
