If you believe Francois Gautier has written, you will believe anything. Just like Francois Gautier calls himself a "Westerner and a born Christian", I too am an Indian a a born Hindu. Francois sounds like a propoganda leaflet for the BJP/RSS combine. Give us Indians some intelligence Francois, we threw out the BJP/RSS at the hustings because we could not be fooled, and now you go after the Congress when Jayalalitha herself has said it is her decision to arrest the Shankerachary and no one elses. Give us a break. Why don't you go and peddle your lies somewhere else. Christianity is much appreciated all over India (except for a few breakaway cults that give the mainstream a bad name) and the BJP/RSS is like the old lady who sees men under her bed when there are none. So Francois Gautier,if you have been brain washed by the Hindu Brotherhood, get yourself another brain.
Dear Mr. Francois, As I much as I respect a persons opinion I am inclined to disagree with those opinions that are mal-formed. Yours for example. Just because we have a Sikh Prime minister and a Muslim president should be something that India should be proud of. For they would never have risen to the positions they share without the education & wisdom that a nation like India has. It only goes to show that India's wisdom is uniformly shared amoung all. And that my friend is a good thing. Just because theres no 'Hindu' president or Prime minister doesn't mean that the Hindu community lack anything. I also wonder if you know the difference between Culture & religion. Have you ever seen the Christians down south? Esp. the Tamilians. They sing bhajans, they light diyas & use coconuts at their prayer meetings. Exactly like a Hindu. But you seem to have this notion that India should be 'ruled' by a Hindu. A person maybe Hindu or Christian or Sikh on the outside, but inside they may follow their own whims & desires. They may not necessarily following the path that their religion describes. Having said that I hope your opinions maybe better formed next time.
Dear Mr.Francis and all readers, God Bless U all.India is not just a country of HINDUS or CHRISTIANS or MUSLIMS and other RELIGIONS.we r humans.our neighbours follow different faiths. im sorry that Mr.Francis fails to understand what christianity is.its not a religion rather the faith that brings salvation.in essence its love .God loves us and we show that kind of love to the world.we never intend to forcibly convert people of other religions. As far as Mr.Hinn is concerned he set to do exactly that.it was misinterpreted. Our God is not a "white man's GOD".Its not Hinn who cures people its God.God is full of love and believes in curing people irrespective of their background.i atrongly feel that anti social messages be censored from the column to preserve our country's unity in diversity.GOD BLESS INDIA!!!!!!!!
Christianity is a religion never forced upon. You must understand there are vaious sects in Christianity. Forced conversions happen in a particular sect wherein even Catholics move away from the church to join this sect. Christians have been persecuted during the NDA rule and the NDA Govt. always gave a clean chit to the fundamental forces. Shame on the NDA for supporting the fundamentalists for targetting the 3% christians
Mr. Gautier has no more words to express except keep repeating the same ol' story - O, cry my beloved India (remember his last year article title ).. He could have probably cried for France.. hehe
It seems that whoever comes to power he seems to align... now that he is speaking ill of Vajpayee and his defeated team...
Not quite a good line, bowl the good length... even Frenchman can become a good cricketer like Englishmen, why not?
Francois Gautier got the pulse of typical Indian. He knows how easy it is to provoke a Hindu to act against other religions. The first paragraph of this article itself indicates that how stupid the author is (He is trying to create a impression in the readers mind by telling that he himself is a western so that if he is writing something agaist Christianity or pro Hinduism, readers are most likely to believe in whatever junk he is putting in here; cheap trick!) The rest of the article is a bunch of adolescent scripts, trying to make some useless points based on some stupid arguments (He is referring Benny Hinn as fake while calling Satya Sai Baba as a spiritual leader. Don't you think both of them are same-Must be either Quaks or Spiritual leaders, tell me how if you think both of them or different? He is looking at the Turban of Manmohan singh while the entire world is looking the intellectual mind beneath it. He is worrying about the religion of our president while all indians are proud to have such a scholar in that place)Do you guys need more examples to understand the character of the author and to understand how bogus and useless his writing is? I pity you, Cry, Francois Cry!
Your concern for the Hindu privileges in India is absurd and vague. All Indians are from this soil and religion is practiced without ill feelings.
Jesus was born a Jew, lived a Jew and died a Jew and he was called the Christ (king of the Jews). How does that make a difference to Christians, I think religion is individual faith and not a game of politics as religion comes to some by birth and someone lost embrace it to find a way to God, the only totally perfect one.
India is a country with the largest secular democracy of the world, with a tested constitution and judiciary. Any one person does not run this country, but all contribute to its consolidation and growth.
If Mr. Benny Hinn is a Fake therapeutic service provider, he is cheating his own spiritual purpose in the name of his God. Moreover, if he is being selfish for some reason then as per the Hindu scriptures his act is not valid for salvation or God realisation. The Hindu scriptures also say that there are no accidents in the cosmic world.
Yes, Hindus are a majority in India but then you must also study the Hindu scriptures to know more of Hinduism. Similarly, read the Koran, Granth Saheb to know more of the Muslims and Sikhs.
