dear sir/madam modern India looks to be heading forward in education and economy and we can ofcourse set an example before the world also but shall it be possible under these circumstances.Every where there is the politics of vote and different other thiongs are being promoted that is always against the national interest and no body is there in the Parliament or out side to speak out against these.Let it be reservation or blind decisions for persuing onse own caste o0r religious interest no body cares. Only when the poles are to come or any thing that can increase the chances to hold power shall be highlighted only. so the need is to inrease the literacy rate and awarteness among the masses ,that shall only yield better results other wise not. khan iqbal akhtar bareilly, india.
IF these politicains were so serious about upliftment of the downtroden OBCs why do they not reserve Parliament, Assemblies and Ministries in the same proportions as they fiddle with the higher education institutions.
The country is passing thro a very volative situation wherein the students are divided into two classes, the so called privileged majority ( backed by government's support) and the underprivileged forward communities (ie) OC's who do not get any support from any sections of the society. The country has witnessed effect of Mandal days and now it is the turn of Quota days. Oh God Where are we being led by the selfish politicians?, pl try to save us S SIVA BADRI PRASSAD
Reservations are essential up to some extent.First strengthen the system with full financial support from 10+2 level. Without financial support the poorest of the poor in the reserved category can not compete with his feeolw brothers, leave alone others. Examine how state governments are shrinking their financial responsibilty beynd 10+2 for B.Cs. At higher and higher levels representation may some times sufficient rather than reservation. If more than 50% of the seats are filled by reserved categories , is there any need to extend it?. One needs good data base to examine where it is essential and where representation is sufficient. If government conducts continuous studies and spread the real information then people may accept it with dignity rather than announcing a policy on the eve of elections. sarma
The Media is giving wide publicity to the Medical Students. And no mention about rallies supporting. Media is biased. I think that RSS/BJP/VHP are behind this agitating Medical students.
subhash, you are right when you say that this law should be fought against....... but why only this law... why not the thought of making the state very powerful? why not communism which in the name of sicialism takes away the individuality of a person and gives all power to a state?
