Without financial support the poorest of the poor in the reserved category can not compete with his feeolw brothers, leave alone others. Examine how state governments are shrinking their financial responsibilty beynd 10+2 for B.Cs. At higher and higher levels representation may some times sufficient rather than reservation.If more than 50% of the seats are filled by reserved categories , is there any need to extend it?. One needs good data base to examine where it is essential and where representation is sufficient.
